SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

Thursday 9th April 2015: Race 7 - The Rock C, G & E Class 1 Handicap

Jockey C. McIver pleaded guilty to a charge under A.R. 135(b) in that, as the rider of INTRUDING;
• From a point near the 150 metres he shifted out to obtain a position behind MIGHTY SAVANNAH
• And from a point near the 100 metres he failed to shift to the outside of that runner when it was reasonable and permissible for him so do so.
• As a result of that failure he has not improved his position from the 100 metres, failed to ride with sufficient vigour and failed to ride his mount out to the end of the race.
• Accordingly, his actions resulted in INTRUDING failing to finish in the best possible place in the field.

Jockey McIver was suspended from riding in races from midnight on 16th April 2015, up to and including 16th May 2015, a period of 1 calendar month.

Race 1: Morning Bulletin Maiden Plate - 1200 metres
1st TENNESSEE WOMAN 2nd ANN'S LUCKY BOY 3rd REGAL SCRIBE 4th - DEE MINISHING

REGAL SCRIBE - Slow to begin. Approaching the 50 metres broke down and was subsequently euthanized. As Jockey A. Coome was attended to by the Ambulance officers, he was not required to weigh in. Acting under the provisions of A.R. 142, stewards declared correct weight. Subsequently Jockey Coome was cleared to fulfil his further engagements.

FRANKY COLD MEDINA - Approaching the 900 metres shifted in and away from BOOMTOWN GIRL, lay in onto MISS SATINE and caused Jockey A. Lawrence to ease HAYYLER'S HOPE, which over-reacted when being restrained.

WHAT ABOUT ROSE - Inconvenienced over the concluding stages when the injured horse shifted out.

DEE MINISHING - Jockey J. Stanley reported that it was not his intention to lead, however, given the pace in the event he obtained the lead in the early stages.

Race 2: Dauntin Lad @ Charsons Park Country Cup BM65 Handicap - 1200 1500 metres
1st PURE SUNSET 2nd POWER TO EXCEED 3rd PIPIT 4th - BAGABOB

PURE SUNSET - The start was delayed when the gelding lost its off fore plate during its preliminary and had to be replated. Near the 200 metres shifted out marginally, taking PIPIT out onto MOSSANAY, which shifted out across the heels of POWER TO EXCEED, which had laid in.

MOSSANAY - Raced wide for the majority of the event. Shifted in near the 900 metres causing EMPEROR to be taken in onto POWER TO EXCEED, which was steadied and lost ground. App. R Williams, the rider of MOSSANAY, was reprimanded. In assessing penalty stewards were mindful of App. Williams' efforts to relieve the pressure.

PIPIT - Over the concluding stages jockey was unable to ride his mount out as there was doubtful room between the runners forward of him.

BAGABOB - Began awkwardly.

QUICK SPUR – Raced wide in the early stages.

DUKE OF EIGHT - On jumping shifted in onto CHILLI CON CARNE, which was taken in onto TICATIME. Over-raced in the middle stages. Jockey G. Geran pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a) in that at the 600 metres he allowed his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of PEGUNNY KID, resulting in that gelding being taken out onto I EXCEED, which was tightened onto the hindquarters of COMMANDS THE WORLD. Jockey Geran was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence at midnight on 18th April 2015, up to and including 30th April 2015 (3 CQ meetings)

THE GIRLS IN PARIS - Raced three wide throughout.

PICAVINO - Apprentice R. Williams pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that near the 400 metres she allowed her mount to shift out, resulting in DICK'S WHITTINGTON being tightened for room, checked and losing its rightful running. App. Williams was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence at midnight on 11th April up to and including midnight on 18th April 2015. In determination of penalty, Stewards were mindful of App Williams’ good careless riding record and minor severity of the incident.
