Race 2: Queensland Trainers Association BM 65 Handicap - 1500 metres
Trainer A. St Vincent reported that MAUGHAN would be freshened up following its performance on this day. He further stated that in the days following the event an abscess had come out on the off hind bulb for which it was receiving treatment.

Race 1: KNM Insurance Mel Slade Class 1 Handicap - 1300 metres
1st HIS REDEMPTION 2nd BOLD FLIGHT 3rd MAGIC FISH 4th - MIGHTY SAVANNAH
MAGIC FISH - Was slow to begin.
RED RYDER - Was slow to begin.
RAPID DRAGON - Began awkwardly.
INTRUDING - Raced wide throughout.
GOIN' CRAZY - Raced wide throughout.
MIGHTY SAVANNAH - Was inclined to lay out in the middle stages.
Race 2: Iron Farmers QTIS 2-Y-O Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
1st ATLANTIS CITY 2nd HIDDEN THUNDER 3rd CRAIGLEA DEKEN 4th - SAUCEY ANGEL
RING DING - Shifted in at the start and bumped CRAIGLEA DEKEN.
CRAIGLEA DEKEN - Bumped at the start.
SAUCEY ANGEL - Shifted out at the start, made contact with another runner.
DAWN'S DIAMOND- Tightened between runners at the start.
ATLANTIS CITY – Contact with another runner at the start.
CHARSON'S GIFT - Raced wide throughout.
RUSTIC MISS - Raced wide throughout.
SWEET MARCIA- Race wide throughout.
AWE CITY - Near the 600 metres raced awkwardly on heels. Trainer reported that the gelding's off hind had been galloped on during running. Jockey J. Stephens was reminded of his obligation regarding the use of the whip on a horse that is out of contention.
Race 3: XXXX Gold Maiden Handicap - 1050 metres
1st ELLE THE MODEL 2nd LIGHTNING ARTIST 3rd SAVANNAHZEES 4th - COSTA LITTLE
HAY DRAG - Slow to begin.
ELLE THE MODEL - Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
CATCH A GLIMPSE - Raced wide throughout.
IF IN DOUBT - Raced wide throughout.
COSTA LITTLE - Began awkwardly.
FORECASTING - Shifted out at the start and bumped THE CLANG AFFAIR.
THE CLANG AFFAIR - Bumped at the start. At about the 900 metres hung out across heels and continued to hang out in the middle stages.
LIGHTNING ARTIST - Near the 700 metres improved up onto the heels of another runner, raced awkwardly and had to be restrained when it rolled inwards.
Race 4: XXXX Bitter F&M Class 2 Handicap- 1050 metres
1st EKKAREEZA 2nd ANGELS CROWN 3rd COURT LANE 4th - ZAHA EXPRESS
RELEVANT GIRL - After being slow to begin became unbalanced when CREDITABLE jumped in and made contact with the mare. Near 900 metres, tightened and lost ground. Raced ungenerously for a short distance after.
COURT LANE - Was slow to begin. Leaving the 300 metres laid in and bumped SAINT STAR.
JEWEL BANGLES - Raced wide throughout. Over the concluding stages laid in and was unable to be ridden right out to the finish.
EKKAREEZA - Raced wide throughout.
CRYSTALS'N'PEARLS - Near the 900 metres was eased from the heels of another runner.
ANGELS CROWN- Near 900 metres, when over-racing was steadied and shifted inwards slightly onto another runner.
ZAHA EXPRESS- Eased near the 900 metres and taken in and tightened the running of another runner.
CREDITABLE - A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare was showing a poor post-race recovery rate.
Race 5: Summer Bright C&G Class 2 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st JAMES IS BLONDE 2nd ELJAY ATOM 3rd DRAGON HUNTER 4th - DE MESTRE
Prior to the declaration of correct weight trainers K. Hansen (DE MESTRE) and T. Bourke DRAGON HUNTER) and App. T. Brooker viewed the official patrol films with a view to lodging an objection against 2nd placegetter. Having done so they elected not to proceed with any protest, and stewards declared correct weight.
GHANA - As Jockey A. Coome was to be overweight, Jockey R. McMahon was substituted. Jockey Coome was fined $200 under A.R. 120(b). Began awkwardly and laid in over the early stages. From near the 900 metres, laid out and bumped another runner.
OUTBACK SAPPER- Taken out when another runner laid out near the 900 metres.
BLOOMSDAY- Hampered near the 900 metres.
ELJAY ATOM - From the 200 metres shifted ground, at which stage DRAGON HUNTER shifted out and away from ELJAY ATOM.
DESTINO STRADA - Rider reported that his mount felt sore during the event and had laid out at the 600 metres, then was further inclined to hang out from the 400 metres. Stewards will follow up with the trainer.
JAMES IS BLONDE - Dipped on jumping.
Race 6: Toohey’s New Handicap - 1050 metres
1st - CLOUD DANCER 2nd - SPEEDING DRAGON 3rd - SCHOORWIN 4th - SAMMY JUNIOR
MYTHOLOGIST - Bounded in the air at the start and lost some ground.
CLOUD DANCER - Raced wide throughout.
SPEEDING DRAGON - Near the 700 metres hung out, then raced wide for the remainder of the event.
Race 7: Hahn 3.5 BM 70 Handicap - 1400 metres
1st - SPIRIT BEAT 2nd - ROWEINER 3rd - GO DIGGER 4th - PRINCE DAN
DYNA ROSE - Trainer L. Rowe advised stewards that he had instructed that the mare be ridden in a handy position, if possible. After being slow to begin, the mare raced in a worse than midfield position.
VAN ROSSUM - Was slow to begin, then was further hampered when another runner shifted out. Near the 900 metres over-raced for a short distance.
MAGIC WALTZ - Knuckled on jumping.
