SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
GLADSTONE 3RD NOVEMBER 2020 - RACE 5: SUBZERO BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1517M
 
Jockey Hannah Phillips rider of TELLOFF pleaded guilty to a charge pursuant to AR132(5) in that she used her whip on 16 occasions throughout the event, two more than permitted and was issued with a reprimand.
 
MACKAY 14TH OF NOVEMBER 2020 – RACE 2: ARCQ CQ RESCUE HANDICAP 1300M
 
SHE’S OUR EMPRESS - Trainer R Vale reported that blood tests undertaken confirmed the filly to have a mild infection that would now be treated with anti-biotics. He further added that he would freshen the filly up before it’s return to racing.
 
 
 
`Race 1: RACING SUNDAY 22 NOVEMBER Maiden Handicap 1100 metres
 
The start was delayed when several runners proved difficult to load.
 
SIRFINA – Began awkwardly.
 
NEWSHOUND – Was fractious leaving the enclosure and dislodged the rider before being remounted and proceeding to the barriers. Began awkwardly and shifted in abruptly crowding runners to its inside. Raced three-wide without cover throughout. Raced greenly throughout and approaching the 900m laid in. Near the 300m, shifted out abruptly.
 
SCANDINA – Bumped on jumping. Approaching the 900m, became awkwardly placed at the heels of NEWSHOUND which shifted in when racing greenly.
 
ZEBONET –Trainer J Wehlow advised that it would be his intention to have the gelding ridden in a mid-field position with cover. Was ridden accordingly.
 
ABSOLUTE GLORY – Bumped on jumping. Passing the 800m, commenced to race greenly when racing in a rearward position, and had to be steadied away from the heels of SCANDINA. Laid in for a short distance passing the 200m. 
 
MY BYE – Raced three-wide with cover throughout. Passing the 500m, commenced to weaken and finished a distant last. Trainer J Lancaster was advised that the gelding’s nomination would be refused at TAB meetings until its form improves at Country NON-TAB events.
 
GIRL ON TOP – Bumped heavily and was crowded for room on jumping. Hung out when placed under pressure over the final 200m.  
 
 
 
Race 2: CHRISTMAS AT CALLAGHAN PARK - SATURDAY 5 DECEMBER OPEN Handicap 1300 metres
 
Correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey S Wiseman, the rider of the second placed horse (JAY JAY) to view the footage of the concluding stages with a view to lodging an objection against the winner (BUFFY). After doing so jockey Wiseman declined to proceed and correct weight was given. 
 
ABSOLUT ARTIE – Began awkwardly.
 
BUFFY – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Laid out under pressure over the final 100m, inconveniencing JAY JAY.
 
JAY JAY – Bumped on jumping. Over the final 100m, was inconvenienced by BUFFY which laid out.
 
 
Race 3: KIDS CHRISTMAS RACEDAY - FRIDAY 18 DECEMBER BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1600 metres
 
 
SRINI – Began awkwardly. Passing the 1200m, commenced to over-race due to the steady tempo and had to be restrained from the heels of APPLICANT. Held up for clear running from the 500m until passing the 200m. When in clear running, shifted out under riding over the final 100m. 
 
MEATBALL – Approaching the 100m, laid in under pressure.
 
APPLICANT – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained an injury to it’s near fore suspensory. Trainer K Smyth was advised that a veterinary clearance of soundness would be required prior to the gelding being permitted to trial or race again.
 
IFYOUKNOWHATIMEAN – Passing the 200m, had to be eased when racing in restricted room between BALIUS and STRAWBERRY BLONDE which was bumped and forced in by MEATBALL.
 
STRAWBERRY BLONDE – Trainer J Wehlow advised that it would be his intention to have the mare ridden in a mid-field position with cover. Settled in a rearward position. Approaching the 100m, was bumped and forced in by MEATBALL which laid in under pressure.
 
GLADISHING – Was held up passing the 400m before shifting back to the inside passing the 300m to obtain clear running. 
 
 
 
Race 4:  XXXX GOLD Class 2 Handicap 1400 metres
 
 
LOUIE THE LEGEND – Reared on jumping as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
ROCK 'N' SOL – Bumped on jumping.
 
ASK NINO – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
MYSTERY ELEMENT – Raced keenly in the early stages. Approaching the 400m, was bumped and forced out by LOUIE THE LEGEND which shifted out to improve.
 
PROVOCATIVE MAN – Began awkwardly. Was held up for clear running from the 400m until the 150m.  
 
ULTIMATE GOLD – Passing the winning post, put in an awkward stride. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer T Schofield was advised that a veterinary clearance of soundness would be required prior to the gelding being permitted to trial or race again.
 
PAIBLE – Raced three-wide without cover throughout.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 5: FOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK QTIS Three-Year-Old Class 2 Handicap 1100 metres
 
 
BROKEN HERO – Hampered shortly after the start.
 
ISIS BRUMBY – Bumped on jumping. Trainer K Miller advised stewards following the event, that it would now be his intention to send the gelding for a spell.
 
SPIRITOMO – Began awkwardly. Passing the 500m, attempted a narrow run inside of BROKEN HERO, but was disappointed and had to be eased when BROKEN HERO shifted in slightly.
 
AERIAL COMBAT – Bumped and crowded shortly after the start.
 
PRINCESS RULES – Shifted out shortly after the start, hampering BROKEN HERO. After passing the 1000m, commenced to over race and had to be restrained off the heels of BROKEN HERO.
 
AMOREM – Began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, commenced to race keenly when in a rearward position, and then near the 900m, had to be steadied off the heels of PRINCESS RULES.
 
 
 
 
Race 6: LJ HOOKER ROCKHAMPTON DASHI DASH - FRIDAY 18 DECEMBER BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1100 metres
 
 
HAZAR – Laid in under pressure passing the 200m.
 
PARISIAN TYCOON – Began awkwardly. Passing the 200m, was bumped and crowded for room between ARARRAC, which shifted out slightly, and HAZAR which laid in under pressure.
 
ARARRAC – Shifted out slightly passing the 200m.
 
 
 
Race 7: RAMSAY PHARMACY RTON FASHIONS COMP - SAT 5 & FRI 18 DEC RATINGS BAND 0 – 55 Handicap 1050 metres
 
 
HINVICTUS – Momentarily held up after passing the 400m and near the 250m shifted back to the inside to obtain clear running.
 
DELAGO EDITION – Raced three-wide with cover throughout.
 
WIDE LOAD – Raced four-wide without cover throughout. Held up approaching the 500m and was disappointed in a run to the inside of CIRCUIT JUDGE before shifting back in abruptly, crowding PETITE ELLE.
 
DIRT RICH – Passing the 900m, raced in restricted room between ROSAIRE and CIRCUIT JUDGE, which laid in despite the effort of its rider. Held up approaching the 500m and was disappointed for a run to the inside of CIRCUIT JUDGE before shifting back in abruptly, crowding PETITE ELLE.
 
 
MISS READY NOW – Crowded on jumping. Raced wide in the early stages, before striding forward to obtain the position outside the leader, near the 800m. Laid out under pressure over the final 400m causing its rider to stop riding and straighten on a couple of occasions.
 
PETITE ELLE – Slow to begin. Shortly after the start, hampered by DIRT RICH which laid in away from CIRCUIT JUDGE. Approaching the 400m, was hampered and forced in by DIRT RICH.
 
CIRCUIT JUDGE – Blundered on jumping. Raced three-wide with cover throughout.
 
WREN PLUCKED – Began awkwardly. Raced three-wide without cover throughout. 
 
DELTA ROSE – Bounded in the air as the start was effected and lost ground.
