Race 1: ROMAVET CLINIC MAIDEN PLATE - 1000M

ROLLING ART – Shifted out in the early stages and raced wide without cover for the majority of the event.

DREAD LACH MAGIC – Jumped out at the start.

SHE BRINGS JOY – Laid in over the concluding stages.


Race 2: ROMA GAS SUPPLIES RUGBY SLIPPER QTIS TWO-YEARS-OLD HANDICAP 1000M

As apprentice I. Rabjones was ill, Stewards permitted the late rider change of senior jockey S. Egan for CRAIGLEA ZIP when no other rider was available. I. Rabjones was advised that she would be required to present a medical clearance to stewards prior to being permitted to ride again.

WOLF DRUM – Began awkwardly and lost ground at the start.

FLYING EMPIRE – Was slow into stride.

CRAIGLEA ZIP – Held up rounding the home turn and shifted wider on the track to obtain clear running.

Race 3: CHURCHIE OPEN HANDICAP 1200M

CRAWFISH – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.

BLINKIN HASTY – Jumped out at the start.

POLAR BLITZ – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide throughout.

Race 4: THE SOUTHPORT SCHOOL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1200M

DASHINGLY – Jumped with its head in the air and lost ground.

SAFE WORLD – Slow into stride and raced very wide throughout the event.

MAFIA PRINCESS – Began awkwardly.

GARDER LA FOI – Shifted out near the 50m.

DESERT PLAYBOY – Momentarily eased near the 50m when GARDER LA FOI shifted out.

PLATTERS – Shifted out over the concluding stages.

LA CLOISONNE – Eased from the heels of PLATTERS, which shifted out near the 50m. At a subsequent enquiry, apprentice S. Lacy, the rider of Platters, was reprimanded.

Race 5: RUGBY RACEDAY BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1640M

FABLED DOMAIN was a late scratching at 3:23pm after being unable to be loaded. Stewards ordered that all bets placed on Fabled Domain be refunded with the following deductions applicable to bets placed prior to 3:23pm:

0c in the dollar for the win #1 - OGGIE
6c in the dollar for the place #1 - OGGIE
12c in the dollar for the place #6 - SIALIA MAGIC
15c in the dollar for the place #8 - LAKE VICTORIA

Trainer E. Johnson was advised that Fabled Domain would now be required to obtain a barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again.

LUCKS IN – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

MUGMARINO - Raced wide for the majority of the event.

SIALIA MAGIC – Hung in during the middle stages

MADAM AUBERGE – Shifted in near the 800m making contact with the running rail.
