GENERAL
 
As Apprentice S. Champkin was injured whilst in the mounting yard prior to the running of race one she was subsequently transported to hospital. Apprentice Champkin will require a medical clearance prior to returning to riding.
 
As a result of this incident the start time of the first event was amended as follows:
 
Race 1 - 1:42 pm
 
As Apprentice A. Bakos was dislodged during the running of Race 1, she was subsequently transported to hospital. Apprentice Bakos will require a medical clearance prior to returning to riding.
 
As a result of this incident the remaining race times were amended to the following:
 
Race 2 - 2:30 pm
Race 3 - 3:00 pm
Race 4 - 3:42 pm
Race 5 - 4:22 pm
Race 6 - 4:57 pm
Race 7 - 5:30 pm
 
Rider replacements as per the stewards summary.
 
 
Race 1: HALL CHADWICK QTIS Maiden Plate 1000 metres
 
Love Over Gold  - Raced keenly in the early stages
 
Sir Altius - Fractious in barrier. Leaving the 800m momentarily raced in restricted room was forced to restrain.
 
Bond Girl - Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground
 
Superior One - Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground, wide without cover throughout
 
Sweetlilly Pilly - Commenced to buck shortly after the start and as a result dislodged its rider at the 800m.  Trainer S Iverson was advised that the mare will be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to returning to racing. Following the event apprentice A. Bakos was transported to hospital. Apprentice Bakos was advised she will require a medical clearance prior to returning to riding. Replacements as per stewards summary.
 
Begudtoyaowner - Began awkwardly, lost ground. Approaching the 100m shifted in onto heels and was forced to ease.
 
Rowdash - Inclined tolay in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
Shalam - Began awkwardly tightening another runner to the inside.
 
Superbellagante - Slow to begin. Tailed off from the 800m taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer W. Baker was advised that a warning would be placed on the filly.
 
Race 2: MARANOA REGIONAL COUNCIL / ROMA EXPLORERS INN
Class 1 Handicap 1000 metres
 
The start was delayed when BOLD ADMIRAL underwent a gear adjustment at the start.
 
Laurie – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
Lucky Enuff – Bumped on jumping and lost ground
 
Elka Eleven - When questioned regarding the below market expectation performance apprentice L Barr advised that when placed under pressure leaving the 500m the mare failed to respond. She also added that upon retuning to the mounting yard her mount felt awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed no significant abnormalities.
 
Big Talk - Began awkwardly making contact with Lucky Enough
 
Mori's Press – At a point leaving the 700m, was forced to steady when Bold Admiral shifted in marginally. Jockey M Gray (Bold Admiral) was advised to exercise more care
 
Gillick's Way - Blundered on jumping and lost ground, following the event trainer P Townsend reported that the gelding cast its off fore plate.  Post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer P. Townsend was advised the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to returning to racing.
 
Bold Admiral  - As Jockey R.Tilley was overweight he was subsequently replaced as per the stewards summary. As a result Jockey Tilley was reprimanded under AR190(3).Raced wide without cover throughout,Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 3: MT COOLON BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200 metres
 
Last Armageddon - Raced wide without cover throughout
 
Kalmar - Inclined to lay in throughout
 
Vinaigrette - Slow to begin.
 
For Love - Raced wide without cover until obtaining a position close to the rail leaving the 700m
 
Race 4: XXXX COUNTRY STAMPEDE QUALIFIER OPEN Handicap 1000 metres
 
Wait A Minute  - Fractious in the barriersand reared at the start and lost ground, inclined to lay in throughout.  Held up rounding the home turn and as a result was forced to shift out across heals to gain clear running nearing the 200m
 
Tourmaster  - Racedwide without cover throughout
 
The Consigliere   - Tightened for room shortly after the start
 
Phionaix – Jockey B. Richardson was fined $300 under AR123(2) for having her possession a safety vest that did not comply with the requirements under AR123(1). Racedwide without cover throughout.
 
Race 5: TAB BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1640 metres
 
As the start was affected, Maximum Hustle reared over and as a result became cast under the barrier stalls. As this incident resulted in a delay with removing the barriers from the course proper and further resulted in apprentice T. Townsend being attended to by the Queensland Ambulance Service, Stewards declared the event a no race and directed all Jockey’s to withdraw their mounts from the event. Stewards further ordered that all monies invested in the event be refunded.
 
Following this incident, apprentice T Townsend was assessed by the Queensland Ambulance Service and was subsequently cleared to fulfil her remaining engagements.
 
Following the event, Apprentice C Miles reported that she felt pain in the left shoulder. Apprentice Miles was assessed by the Queensland Ambulance service and was cleared to fulfil her engagements.
 
Maximum Hustle - A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained lacerations to the near side stifle, near side hip and near fore leg. Trainer W. Baker was advised the gelding would be required to obtain a veterinary certificate as well as obtain a barrier certificate prior to returning to racing.
 
 
Race 6: ROYAL ON 99 COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER/ROMA
CUP OPEN Handicap 1640 metres
 
Bernie's Tiger - Knuckled on jumping, dislodging its rider. Following the event apprentice C. Collis was
 
Mahratta – Slow to begin,
 
Bryneich - Began awkwardly
 
Hi Harry - Shortly after the finish was forced to steady when interfered with by Bernie’s Tiger
 
Li'l Rodge - Began awkwardly
 
Radipole (IRE) - Raced wide without cover in the early stages
 
Palate – Whenquestioned regarding the below market expectation performance, Jockey B Richardson advised that after travelling well in the early stages, her mount failed to respond when placed under pressure from the 1000m. She further added that in her opinion that mare failed to handle to surface of todays event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
 
Itsallkay  - Shifted out abruptly after passing the winning post on the first occasion, resulting in Li’l Rodge, Hi Harry and Radipole being forced wide.
 
 
Race 7: MCINNES WILSON LAWYERS RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1200 metres
 
Start was delayed due to gear adjustment for Zuma
 
Valar Dohaeris - Slow to begin
 
Low Level Flying - Slow into stride. Shifted in leaving the 200m to obtain clear running.
 
Stormwater – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
Funky Farm – Raced in restricted room and was forced to restrain for a short distance at the 1100m.
 
Provocative Man - Tailed off at the 1000m taking no further competitive part in the event. Apprentice D. McGillivray could offer no explanation for the seemingly disappointing performance. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off-hind leg. Trainer W. Baker was advised the gelding would require a  veterinary certificate prior to returning to racing.
 
Bundoora - Raced in restricted room and was forced to restrain shortly after the winning post. Apprentice L Barr was advised in similar circumstances, she should take greater care when attempting narrow runs. 
 
Just Favulous - Began awkwardly
 
Rozeira  - Began awkwardly
