NAVILLUS HELLFIRE – Raced wide from the 800m.

Race 2: BLAKE MACHINERY GROUP BM60 HANDICAP         1000 M

The start of this race was delayed due to FASTHEARTBEAT being reluctant to proceed to the barriers and whilst being led by an attendant some distance behind the barriers, the gelding pulled away and lost its bridle before galloping a significant distance and was subsequently declared a late scratching by order of Stewards at 1:36pm. Trainer P. Jenkins was advised that the gelding would be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming due to its pre-race manners in proceeding to the barriers.

On the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered all bets on FASTHEARTBEAT to be refunded in full with the following deductions to apply:
1st - SPIRIT OF BRODIE – 9c win, 8c place.

Raced wide throughout. Jockey S. Collet reported her mount did not travel comfortably at any stage throughout the event. Trainer L. CHANGE THE DEEL – Raced three wide with cover. When asked to comment on the performance, Jockey J. PAULI – Raced wide throughout.

EVERLAST – Put its head down as the start was effected and a result lost significant ground.

TORQUE ESPAGNA – Shifted out near the 400m to improve making contact with WINSTON BLUE.
