ELUSIVE ELEMENT – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.

PASSION IN FLIGHT – Had some difficulty securing clear running passing the 400m and had to be steadied.

BIG SAGA – A post race veterinary examination of the horse, which finished a distant last, revealed shinsoreness in both forelegs. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to its next race start.

TARBET – Jockey D. Browne reported that it had not been his intention to lead, however after the horse began well it became apparent during the first 200m that he would not be able to obtain a position closer to the fence with cover and therefore elected to allow his mount to stride forward, affording him a position one off the fence outside the leader.

Race 2: Bampak Building Class 1 H'cap – 1400m

SIMPLY SHOWTIME – Slow to begin. Inconvenienced rounding the home turn and taken wider. Apprentice L. Dittman was fined $100 for using his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.

THE OVAL OFFICE – Overraced in the early stages and middle stages. Continued to do so leaving the 700m and shifted out to improve. Hung out approaching the home turn despite the efforts of its rider.

Race 3: Auscredits Maiden Plate – 1200m

CIRCUIT BREAKER – Slow to begin.

GYPSY GOLD – Restrained from a wide alley to take up a position at the tail of the field on the fence.

LIGHT SHOWS – Inconvenienced by another runner and had to be steadied off heels shortly after entering the home straight.

ERRANDS – Placed in restricted room between runners passing the 500m and became awkward and lost ground.

O’SPACEHELLO – Shifted in abruptly approaching the 1100m and clipped the heels of CAMPAIGN TRAIL and blundered, almost dislodging its rider and losing significant ground. As a result of this, apprentice B. Appo, rider of O’SPACEHELLO, lost the use of both irons until approaching the 900m and raced wide from that point onwards. Raced wide throughout.

SCARLEE BLACK – Raced wide throughout.

DEFINE CHRONIC – A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse had bled during the event. Connections were advised that the horse will be barred from racing for a period of 3 months.

MOONLIGHT DANCER – Presented to the enclosure without its lead bag. The lead bag was found in the tie-up stalls. Apprentice S. Eilbeck was reweighed and the horse resaddled in the enclosure. Trainer C. Anderson was fined $400 under AR140A for negligence in saddling. Slow to begin.
