REAL GOOD - Trainer T. Miller reported that following the disappointing performance, he had the horse undergo an endoscopic examination, which found evidence that the horse was suffering from a respiratory viral infection and is now undergoing treatment.
 
 
From SCTC, 4.2.18 – Race 5
 
OUR FIRE AND ICE - Following the horse’s poor performance, trainer S. Kendrick reported that subsequent to the race he had an endoscopic examination performed on the horse which found  that the horse required corrective respiratory surgery, which he undertook to have performed and the horse would now be sent for a spell.

Race 1: Tricolour  Concreting F & M Mares Class 1 H’cap – 1200m
 
TACTICAL MANUEVER – After becoming fractious in the enclosure was examined by the veterinary surgeon behind the barriers and was cleared to start. Bumped at the start.
 
BEL CLASSICO – Jumped out at the start and bumped another runner.
 
MISS BENETEAU – Jumped in at the start and bumped another runner. Laid in under pressure over the final 300m.
 
TANGO YANKEE – Blundered near the 700m. Apprentice J. Murphy was fined $200 for using his whip 10 times prior to the 100m.   
 
 
Race 2: Viking Concrete Pumping QTIS C&G Maiden H’cap (2) – 1400m
 
LE DRAMA – Began awkwardly and lost ground at the start. Held up rounding the home turn and then again had difficulty securing clear running from the 350m until leaving the 300m.
 
CAPEOS – Overraced in the early stages.
 
HI FIVER – Approaching the 200m shifted out under pressure and bumped another runner.
 
BACK CHAT – Bumped approaching the 200m.
 
MR RED SHOES – Near the 200m was obliged to alter course to the inside to obtain clear running.
 
 
 
At 7.05 pm, stewards, when concerned regarding  lightning strikes in the area,  temporarily  delayed the running of Race 3.  At 8.05 pm stewards, with continued concerns regarding lightning strikes in the area,  abandoned the remainder of the meeting.
