Stewards inquired into the circumstances surrounding a horse being left unattended in the sand roll prior to the running of Race 6. The identity of the horse was established as a yearling in the care of trainer L. Ross which had been picked up from the spelling  paddock and was being transported to the stables of Mr Ross.  Stewards after inquiring into the circumstances advised Mr Ross he should have made  alternative arrangements rather than allow  the circumstances of today to occur. OUR RACKETEER – Jockey R. Wiggins was asked to comment on the performance of the horse.   He indicated the horse had been fractious in the barriers and was satisfied that the horse had not suffered any ill effects in this incident, however was disappointed with the overall performance, adding that the horse laid in under pressure from the top of the straight.
