Race 1: LOCAL PLANNING ENERGY CLASS 1 PLATE – 1400M
 
FRANKEL STAR – Jumped away awkwardly, making heavy contact with another runner. Forced wider at the 600m. M. Cahill reported that he was disappointed with his mount’s overall performance and that it did not travel comfortably at any stage of the event and commenced to weaken from the home turn.
 
PEPPI LA FEW – Bumped by another runner at the start and lost ground as a result. Laid in under pressure in the home straight, causing its rider to stop riding and straighten on a number of occasions.
 
GREAT POWERS – Inconvenienced by another runner after being slow to begin and was obliged to steady from heels shortly after the start.
 
PASS OF GOLD – Bumped at the start. Overraced for a short distance near the 1000m when being restrained to obtain cover.
 
Race 2: GLASSHOUSE DESIGN & MANUFACTURING QTIS 3YO COLTS & GELDINGS MAIDEN H’CAP – 1200M
 
LICKETY LACHIE – Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. Had some difficulty securing clear running after leaving the 400m and made contact with another runner at that point.
 
WHY WOULDN’T YOU – D. Smith reported that his mount was slow to begin and raced greenly throughout the event and would take improvement from the run as the horse was doing its best work over the concluding stages and would appreciate a step up in distance.
 
MOUNT DUMARESQ – Bumped by another runner after leaving the 400m.
 
FROM NOW – Obliged to race in restricted room near the 900m and was steadied as a result.
 
Race 3: ORD MINNETT MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M
 
DAN’S DREAM – Raced three wide without cover. Bumped by another runner near the 1000m.
 
HEART OF TOORAK – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
MOSKOGEE – Overraced for a short distance when steadied to obtain cover leaving the 1000m and shifted out, bumping another runner.
 
ROCK TSAR – Kicked out and struck the rail on entering the track, examined by the veterinary surgeon on arrival at the barriers and cleared to race. Commenced to overrace when restrained approaching the 900m and then hung in badly, became very ungenerous and lost significant ground before shifting wider on the track. Trainer P. Jenkins was advised that the horse must officially trial prior to its next start.
 
MISS MELRAE – Bumped by another runner near the 1000m and in turn shifted out, making contact with the runner to the outside. Sustained a laceration to the near hind pastern consistent with having been galloped on.
 
MIZ MACEY – Slow to begin. Raced extremely greenly throughout the event. Trainer L. Stratton was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing manners.
 
TWILIGHT FLYER – Raced wide throughout. Blundered near the 500m. L. Cassidy dropped his whip approaching the 300m.
 
Race 4: VANTAGE HOMES QLD QTIS THREE-YEARS-OLD FILLIES MAIDEN H’CAP – 1200M
 
EURO ROCKSTAR – Jumped away very awkwardly, had to be steadied from heels and lost ground as a result.
 
KITTY DAMOUR – Raced three wide throughout.
 
MAIDENOVER – Raced wide throughout.
 
MILLION – Raced three wide without cover. Became awkward at heels when crossed by another runner near the 150m.
 
ROXY’S A STAR – Overraced in the early stages when restrained to obtain cover.
 
SHE LIKES A DRINK – Slow to begin.
 
SHE ZA BOSS – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
CAP GRIS NEZ – After obtaining cover in the early stages, overraced at heels until leaving the 800m.
 
MISS FLAWLESS – Slow to begin. Had to be checked approaching the 200m when bumped heavily and taken outwards by DRAGON INTHE NORTH, which was bumped heavily and taken outwards by FLAUNT. Apprentice M. Murphy, the rider of FLAUNT, pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless riding under AR131(a) in that at that point he directed his mount out at an acute angle, resulting in it shifting out  abruptly and over a sustained distance whilst under strong riding, causing the interference to both DRAGON INTHE NORTH and MISS FLAWLESS. Apprentice Murphy’s licence to ride in races was suspended for 28 days, to commence at midnight on Sunday 17 March and to expire at midnight on Sunday 14 April 2019.
 
BOOM ROCKER – Obliged to race in restricted room near the 100m.
 
DRAGON INTHE NORTH – Bumped heavily approaching the 200m and taken out on to another runner.
 
Race 5: JAX TYRES MAROOCHYDORE CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1000M
 
AIOLOS – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the straight, causing its rider to stop riding and straighten.
 
INFLAMMABLE – Stewards acceded to a request by co-trainer B. Rodgers to add a barrier blanket to the horse’s gear for today’s run, however advised that a reprimand would be recorded for failing to effect the gear change by the prescribed time. Severely tightened for room on jumping away and had to be checked, losing considerable ground.
 
RACECOURSE ROAD – Inconvenienced by another runner on jumping away.
 
MAGIC PANTHER – Bumped heavily by another runner on jumping away and lost ground.
 
RIVER FLYER – Jumped in at the start and made heavy contact with another runner.
 
IMPLACABLE – Slow to begin.
 
LOTS OF PROMISE – Jumped away very awkwardly, made heavy contact with the barrier and with another runner and became unbalanced as a result.
 
MAKUBA – Raced wide throughout. Lost the near hind plate in running.
 
FORGOTTEN FEELING – Placed in restricted room near the 700m and had to be steadied.
 
WINDQUEST – Raced three wide without cover.
 
ANAKYN DARAXES – Bumped heavily by another runner on jumping away and lost ground.
 
Race 6: LEXUS OF MAROOCHYDORE BENCHMARK 70 H’CAP – 1600M
 
As M. Gray was not riding due to personal circumstances, T. Harrison was substituted as the rider of DUTCH TREAT.
 
SHOCKFACTOR – Slow to begin.
 
WAS IT WORTH IT – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
SPICER – Finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
Race 7: SUNSHINE COAST GRAMMAR RUGBY BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1200M
 
THE PERPETRATOR – Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
 
I DREAM OF GREEN – Laid out under pressure in the straight.
 
UNION DUES – Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Laid in during the early and middle stages. R. Maloney was fined $100 for excessive use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
SHE’S FAST – Overraced when being restrained to obtain cover in the early stages.
