SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
 
GENERAL
 
As J Huxtable was unable to obtain a medical clearance, he was unable to fulfill his riding engagements. As M McGillivray was ill, he was unable to fulfill his riding engagements. Changes as per stewards summary.
 
Race 1: GLOBAL TURF QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1000 metres
 
The start of this event was delayed when the cheek strap on the bridle of MISHANI REBOUND came undone in the barriers and had to be reattached.
 
LICENCED AND READY – Hung out from the 700m until entering the home straight. Trainer P Butterworth was advised that a warning would be placed on the filly’s racing manners.
 
Race 2: DYFA PLUMBING Class 2 Handicap 1000 metres
 
Start of this event was delayed when RUBYEXPRESS shifted the near hind plate after being entered into the barriers. RUBYEXPRESS then became fractious and was unable to be reshod resulting in the decision being made to remove the off hind plate and allow the horse to race barefoot behind.
 
QUEEN SWEEPER – Tightened for room on jumping. Hung out for a short distance passing the 600m. T Brooker pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that she used her whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, as this was jockey Brookers’ 10 offense under this rule she was fined the sum of $500.
 
SHAMROCK LU – Raced in restricted room near the 900m.
 
THE DIAMOND – Began awkwardly.
 
FALVEY'S SPIRIT – Tightened for room on jumping and had to be steadied.
 
TRUE TALLY – Post race vet examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 3: SUNSHINE COAST BUSINESS SOLUTIONS BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 2200 metres
 
MOONLIGHT ECLIPSE – When the pace slackened after passing the 1600m improved onto heels and had to be checked.
 
LIKEABEEL – Slow to begin. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight.
 
CHIEF COMMAND – Checked to avoid heels and shifted wider on the track when the pace slackened passing the 1600m and forced to race 3 wide from that point onwards.
 
CRAIGLEA KARLY – Slow to begin. Forced wider when the pace slackened near the 1600m and raced 3 wide without cover from that point onwards.
 
Race 4: HAYMANS ELECTRICAL & DATA CALOUNDRA BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1600 metres
 
TRACKMAN (NZ) - Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
FLYING MACHINE – Wide during the early stages before settling outside the lead near the 700m.
 
SAYS WHO – Wide from the 700m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
ATLANTIC ROYAL – Over-raced approaching the 1200m when the pace slackened. Inconvenience when placed in restricted room on a number of occasions in the home straight.
 
CLEARY ADONIS – Over-raced during the early stages and raced wide throughout.
 
JOY'S REWARD – Bumped when rounding the home turn. J Molloy dropped his whip near the 300m.
 
SHADYVALE SERENADE – Had difficulty securing clear running approaching and leaving the 200m.
 
LIGHT OF ULURU – Raced wide throughout.
 
DANEROCK – Wide during the early stages before assuming the lead near the 700m.
 
GIVEITALLALI – Over-raced during the early and middle stages and was checked from heels near the 700m.
 
Race 5: K SMITH & SON JEWELLERS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200 metres
FEDERAL AGENT – Raced wide without cover.
 
SISTA ELENORE – Slow to begin
 
TICKLER – Significantly slow to begin. Trainer R Tyrell was advised that a warning would be placed on the horses barrier manners. Had difficulty securing clear running for a short distance passing the 300m.
 
TRIBUTE KING (NZ) – Raced wide until the 600m.
 
BAMBALAM – Raced wide throughout and finished a distant last. Rider reported that the gelding was making an abnormal respiratory noise, which was confirmed by a post-race vet examination. Trainer P Duff was advised that he must have an endoscopic examination performed on BAMBALAM with the results supplied to stewards and the gelding must also officially trial prior to racing again.

HALLOWED DREAMS – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 6: SKY RACING BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1300 metres
 
KENTFORD – Improved onto the heels of SQUARE DANCE near the 800m and restrained before shifting out making heavy contact with DOOMANI.
 
DOOMANI (NZ) – Bumped heavily on the hindquarters and became unbalanced when passing the 800m.
 
SINO DEFEAT – Slow to begin.
 
HERECUM DA DRUMS – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Lost the off fore plate in running.
 
VLADKING – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
CONQUER MEE – Raced in restricted room near the 800m and had to be steadied.
