SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
 
GENERAL
 
 
Race 1: ARCHER PARK RACING QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap 1000 metres
 
Fearless Knight – Slow to begin.
 
Invinovich – Raced three wide with cover. Jockey J Orman reported that the colt raced greenly and over raced in the middle stages.
 
Goddess Of Peace – Raced four wide for the majority.
 
Mishani Mistress – Raced in restricted room over the final 50m and went to the line without being fully tested.
 
Gerrymander – Raced three wide for the majority.
 
Honey Pot – The start was delayed when HONEY POT was reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Fractious in the barriers and reared as the start was effected and lost considerable ground. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards reviewed the start to ascertain if HONEY POT was afforded a fair start and once confirmed that other than for the filly’s own barrier manners it had been afforded a fair start and correct weight was declared. Trainer T Gollan was advised that the filly would require a barrier certificate prior to returning to the races.
 
Mishani Jewel – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 2: FLASH FIBRES HIGH SPEED INTERNET No Metro Wins
Handicap 1000 metres
 
 
Already Blessed – Slow to begin.
 
Avocado Sunset – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
Exactamente – Raced three wide throughout.
 
Comments – Began awkwardly. Race three wide with cover.
 
Joyful Miss – Slow to begin.
 
Race 3: KREW RACING Class 3 Plate 1800 metres
 
Prior to this event the track was upgraded to a Good 3
 
Daulat Tai Panaziz – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
Says Who – Slow to begin.
 
Northern Woods (NZ) – Raced keenly early.
 
Heaven Amore (NZ) – When asked to comment regarding the performance jockey B Thompson stated that after travelling well the mare failed to run on as expected and proved disappointing.
 
 
Race 4: KENDRICK RACING 3YO QUALITY Handicap 1600 metres
 
 
Sergeant Silva – Raced three wide throughout.
 
Rayjen – Jockey T Marshall when asked to comment regarding the performance of RAYJEN stated that the filly did not travel comfortably at any stage and struggled to hold a competitive position and proved very disappointing in the straight. The filly was sent for a post-race veterinary examination which revealed it was lame in the off hind. Trainer R Heathcote was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the filly racing again. A swab sample was also taken.
 
Big Muskie – Over raced early.
 
It's All Talk – Over raced near the 1200m when the pace steadied, obliged to shift wider and race three wide with cover for the remainder. Cast its near hind plate in running.
 
 
Our Red Planet – Raced three wide with cover.
 
Sutto's Gal – Jockey A Mallyon was replaced by A Allen when he was unable to ride at the allocated weight. Stewards noted the explanation provided by A Mallyon.
 
Balmaurice – Slow to begin.
 
Vetta Velocita – Slow to begin. Near the 1000m commenced to over race when the pace steadied. Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight.
 
Deep Tempest (NZ) – Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn.
 
 
Race 5: INNOVATIVE PLANNING SOLUTIONS BENCHMARK 75
Handicap 1400 metres
 
The Tax Accountant – Raced keenly early.
 
Smooth Move – When asked to comment regarding the performance of SMOOTH MOVE jockey R Fradd stated that the gelding did not travel comfortably and was of the opinion that it performs better on rain effected tracks. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
Smart Meteor – Raced three wide with cover.
 
Tesarc –Began awkwardly. Laid out from the 800m.
 
Hallowed Girl – Slow to begin.
 
Nicci's Spirit – Raced three wide.
 
Better Than Groovy- Slow to begin.
 
Renouf – Bounded on jumping. Jockey M Du Plessis reported that it was not his intention to lead however after the mare commenced to over race in the early stages, he elected to allow it to stride forward.
 
COSMIC GOSSIP – Late scratching 8.30AM acting on vets advice.
 
 
 
Race 6: TRAVIS SCHULTZ & PARTNERS QTIS Three-Year-Old
Handicap 1000 metres
 
The start of this race was delayed over 5 minutes when ORIENTAL PRINCESS proved difficult to load.
 
Miss Hipstar – Began awkwardly. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
 
 
 
Oriental Princess – Proved very difficult to load and delayed the start. Trainers representative was advised that due to its poor record in regard to its barrier manners it would now be required to obtain two successive barrier certificates prior to returning to the races. Raced greenly in the early and middle stages and raced wide for the remainder. Had difficulty obtaining clear running near the 200m. Rider accidently dropped her whip near the 100m.
 
Refero – Raced four wide. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Jay Peak Kitten – Raced three wide with cover. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
Crymenotears – Raced three wide with cover.
 
Shnitty – Steadied from the heels of ORIENTAL PRINCESS near the 700m. Raced four wide with cover. Cast its off fore plate in running.
 
Inasec – Raced three wide.
 
Kindling Spirit – Put in an awkward stride near the 750m.
 
Muschialli – Began awkwardly.
 
Enabler – Slow to begin and lost considerable ground. Laid out and steadied from the heels of STELLAR MAGIC near the 550m.
 
 
Race 7: THE WHARF MOOLOOLABA SWISS ACE Plate 1000 metres
 
The start was delayed approximately 2 minutes when NIEDORP required its off fore plate to be re affixed behind the barriers.
 
 
Victory Eight (NZ) – Trailed the field throughout. Jockey M Cahill reported that the gelding was not suited by today’s distance and changed stride on a number of occasions. Trainer T Miller advised he would report back to stewards if any issues arise post-race which may have contributed to its performance.
 
Shooting For Gold – Raced three wide with cover. Bumped near the 300m when TOTALLY CHARMED was attempting to shift wider.
 
Niedorp – Cast its off fore plate enroute to the start which was re affixed on arrival at the barriers. Raced three wide.
 
Totally Charmed – Held up approaching the home turn until near the 300m.
 
Garibaldi – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 8: SKY RACING MOOLOOLABA CUP 1600 metres
 
Ligulate – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
So You Win – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
Happy Go Plucky – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight.
 
Phaistos – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight.
 
Humbolt Current (GB) – Near the 1400 raced in restricted room and over raced for a short distance. Held up rounding the home turn then steadied from heels near the 300m.
 
Tokoriki Lad – Raced three wide with cover.
 
Prioritise – Slow to begin. Jockey A Allen reported that it was not his intention to settle at the tail of the field however as the gelding had been difficult to handle on the way to the barriers he elected to not pressure the horse in the early stages this resulted in the gelding settling in the second half of the field. Jockey Allen also added that when the pace steadied, and he was awkwardly placed on heels near the 1200m PRIORITISE commenced to over race and he was obliged to allow the horse to stride forward and race wide for the remainder. Raced in restricted room near the 200m.
 
Green Jacket – Raced three wide with cover.
 
 
Race 9: LANDMARK RESORT & SPA Class 6 Handicap 1200 metres
 
 
Roman Aureus – Unable to obtain clear running until near the 150m.
 
Acrobatic – Raced three and four wide for the majority.
 
Sir Warwick – Began awkwardly.
 
Starvirgo – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
Shamaton – Raced three wide throughout.
 
Rollinwiththeflow – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Apprentice Kyle Wilson-Taylor was charged pursuant to AR211 in that he returned to scale in excess of 1/2kg overweight and was fined $300.
 
Perfect Aim – Raced three wide throughout.
 
EAST ASIA  - Stewards acceded to a request from trainer R Heathcote to scratch EAST ASIA at 2.50pm, after the track was upgraded to a Good 3.
