Race 1: BUTLER MCDERMOTT LAWYERS QTIS 3-Y-O BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200 metres
 
SAILOR'S SECRET – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
ARTEMAS – Brushed by COUNT DA BEANS approaching the 250m.
 
COUNT DA BEANS – Held up in the early stages of the home straight andapproaching the 250m shifted out to improve and brushed ARTEMAS.
 
HOLTERMANN – Slow to begin. Rider B Thornton could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Following the running Race 1 the track was upgraded retrospectively to a Good 4.
 
 
Race 2: DOUBLE R GROUP QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1200 metres
 
BROOKHAVEN – Crowded at the start.
 
DYSTOPIAN – Jumped in abruptly at the start. When asked to comment on the disappointing performance rider R Maloney reported the horse may have choked down.
 
HELLUVA BARTY – B Thompson, rider of HELLUVA BARTY, was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted.
 
SPRINGHURST – Bumped with RAPID OUTLAW at the start. Raced three wide with cover for the majority of the event.
 
THE KING SLAYER – Near the 800m momentarily crowded for room when racing in restricted room to the inside of FRAPID OUTLAW.
 
RAPID OUTLAW – Bumped with SPRINGHURST at the start. Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
ROADTRIP – Jumped out at the start. Steadied from the heels of RM near the 500m. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
 
FRIJOLES – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 3: LIEBKE BUILDERS Maiden Plate 1200 metres
 
CAMPEEDO – Bumped at the start.
 
DRAMMATICA – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
GLAMZELLE – Jumped in at the start and bumped CAPEEDO.
 
SAVAROSA – Bumped at the start.
 
TICK TOCK QUEEN – Raced wide from the 700m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Trainer T Gollan was advised a warning would be placed on the horse’s racing manners.
 
VELOCIRAPTOR – Trainer P Jenkins was fined $100 under LR67(1) for the late declaration of rider on the horse. From the wide barrier was restrained shortly after the start to a rearward position closer to the rails.
 
GALLERY MASTER – Raced three wide for the majority of the event.
 
AFFABILITY – Jumped in at the start and bumped SAVAROSA.Laid in when held up from the entrance of the home straight until leaving the 200m.
 
NO LOVE LOST – Began awkwardly.
 
 
Race 4: MARTIN COLLINS AUSTRALIA Class 3 Handicap 2200 metres
 
SACRAMENTO JOE – Slow to begin.
 
CHASING JACKLEY – Raced in restricted shortly after the start when racing to the inside of RIPCORD.
 
GAMBU – Rider B Thompson reported it was not his intention to settle in such a forward position andGAMBUwas not suited by the fast early sectionals of the race adding, that the horse did not finish the race off as expected. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. B Thompson was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted.

BIZOU – Caught wide in the early stages of the event. Laid out rounding the turn out of the home straight on the first occasion.
 
PRINENTE – From the wide barrier was restrained shortly after the start to a rearward position closer to the rails. Raced three wide from the 1000m.
 
 
Race 5: WIMMERS PREMIUM SOFT DRINKS BENCHMARK 68 Handicap 1600 metres
 
TAPPY'S ONE – Change of tactics, more forward if circumstances permit. Ridden accordingly.

GENTLE PRINCE – Raced wide in the early stages before progressing forward to lead the event from the 1400m.
 
GENUINE AL – Soon after entering the home straight momentarily steadied from the heels of VAN BLITZEM.

ROLLER COASTER – Began awkwardly.
 
DAULAT TAI PANAZIZ – Raced three wide for the majority of the event.
 
A BIG CHANCE – Over-raced in the early stages of the event.
 
POOL PONY – Rider B Thompson reported the horse was not suited by the slow early pace of the race.
 
LITTLE MISS PIXIE – Over-raced in the early stages of the event.
 
NORDIC SHOW – On arrival at the barriers underwent a veterinary examination at the request of its rider and was cleared to start.
 
VANBLITZEM – Began awkwardly. Bumped and became unbalanced near the 300m when BLAZEN BOOTS shifted out improve. S Collett, rider of BLAZEN BOOTS, was reprimanded for careless riding in this incident. Placed in restricted near the 100m and obliged to shift in.   
 
 
Race 6: ACCESS INSULATION SUNSHINE COAST Class 1 Plate 1600 metres
 
KRONENBOURG – Slow to begin. When asked to comment on the performance rider B Thompson reported the horse was not entirely comfortable during the run and may benefit from gear adjustments going forward.
 
MAMMA MEDIA – Slow to begin.
 
RONLEE GAL – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 7: BARRIER REEF POOLS Class 3 Handicap 1200 metres
 
IMPOSING BEAU – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
MIRACLE DAY – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
ALF'S MAGIC – When asked to comment on the performance rider B Looker reported the horse raced flat and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
SUPER GORGEOUS – Bumped passing the 300m.
 
DARK HORSE – Jumped out at the start and bumped ROCKLILY. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
MAJESTICS REQUEST – Slow to begin. Passing the 300m was bumped and became unbalanced after improving into a narrow run between ALF’S MAGIC, which was inclined to lay out, and SUPER GORGEOUS.
 
ROCKLILY – Bumped at the start. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
 
Race 8: TAB BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1400 metres
 
ENJOUEE – Raced three wide for the majority of the event. Carried wider on the track passing the 700m. Rider R Maloney reported the horse never travelled at any stage of the event and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
 
BACK WHEN – Began awkwardly. Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
REFLECTING IMAGE – Raced in restricted room to the inside of SENRIMA TIDE near the 1000m.
 
SABALENKA – Slow to begin. Near the 700m steadied from heels.
 
SIR PICCOLO – Leaving the 700m hung out across the heels of DAULAT TAIFUN AZIZ and had to be steadied.
