Race 1: SERENDIPITY B&B QTIS Three-Years-Old Maiden Handicap 1600 metres
 
SET ABLAZE – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
NORTHERN DECREE – Jumped out at the start. Near the 500m held up for a short distance behind the tiring SATURDAY GLORY. Approaching the 300m improved onto heels and was obliged to alter course to the inside. Raced in restricted room approaching the finish line.
 
ACCELERATED GROWTH – Jumped out at the start and bumped KING’S HALO.
 
KING'S HALO – Bumped at the start. Laid in under pressure approaching the finish line.
 
SPRINGHURST – Crowded at the start between NORTHERN DECREE which jumped out and AFFECTIONATE which jumped in. Over-raced in the middle stages. Raced wide with cover for the majority of the event.
 
SUBSTANCE – Trainer L Gough was fined $200 under LR67(1) for failing to declare a rider on the horse by the prescribed time.
 
AFFECTIONATE – Jumped in at the start. Held for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
 
SATURDAY GLORY – When asked to comment on the performancerider T Marshall could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have a slow post-race recovery. Co-trainer A Barling indicated SATURDAY GLORY would now be sent for an immediate spell.
 
LOVEULIKEALOVESONG – Held for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
 
 
 
Race 2: TISCA QTIS Three-Years-Old Maiden Plate 1000 metres
 
BOOM KING was declared a late scratching at 6:39pm on veterinary advice when the horse made heavy contact with the outside rail on arrival at the barriers. On declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered all bets on BOOM KING refunded in full and the following deductions to apply:
 
1st: BEAST MODE - 4c win, 5c place
2nd QUIRIN – 6c place
3rd SIX SIDE – 6c place
 
As a result, the start of this event was delayed approximately 3 minutes.
 
BEAST MODE – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
BOLD HUSSAR – Bumped at the start. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
IT'S HELLS BELLS – Raced wide with cover for the majority of the event.
 
NEOCLASSICISM – Approaching the 700m became awkward at the heels of TORQUE SENSATION and shifted in bumping NORTHERN PRIDE. Raced wide with cover for the majority of the event.
 
NORTHERN PRIDE – Bumped by NEOCLASSICISM near the 700m and taken inwards.Held up for clear running from the entrance to the home straight before shifting wider on the track near the 250m to obtain clear running.
 
TORQUE SENSATION – Jumped in at the start.
 
HARLOW QUEEN – Raced in restricted near the 700m, had to be steadied and lost ground.
 
OUR TOP GAL – Bumped at the start when TORQUE SENSATION jumped in.
 
SAND AND OCEAN – Began awkwardly and jumped out.Raced wide with cover for the majority of the event.
 
SIX SIDES – Crowded for room to the inside of NORTHERN PRIDE near the 700m and had to be steadied.
 
MISHANI MERLOT – Taken out at the start by SAND AND OCEAN and bumped BOLD HUSSAR.
 
Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to a Good 3.
 
 
Race 3: Lallemand Animal Nutrition 0 - 58 Handicap 1000 metres
 
Correct weight was delayed allowing Stewards to review the start of this event after M Du Plessis, rider of SECRET CASH, was dislodged shortly after the start. After viewing the patrol footage and hearing submissions from starter Mr R Hanson, trainer D Forster and rider M Du Plessis, it was established SECRET CASH dropped its head as the start was effected resulting in rider M Du Plessis becoming unbalanced in the saddle and subsequently being dislodged a short distance after the start. As Stewards were comfortably satisfied SECRET CASH had been afforded a fair start the horse was declared a runner. Rider M Du Plessis was examined by QAS staff and cleared to fulfill his remaining engagements.
 
CRACKING THUNDER – Jumped in at the start. Steadied approaching the 400m when awkwardly placed at the heels of MISS ANTARTICA.
 
SHOTGUN SOCKS – Raced keenly in the early stages of the event.
 
POCKETROCKET – Slow to begin.
 
OKAY OKAY – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
SIZZLING GAL – Slow to begin
 
ALPHA JANE – Approaching the 700m eased momentarily when placed in restricted room.
 
 
Race 4:Pandanus Constructions BM65 Handicap 1000 metres
 
KEETA – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running from the entrance to the home straight until near the 200m.
 
APPLE TART – Slow to begin.
 
REFERO – At the entrance to the home straight was brushed by ALLEZ ZOU which shifted out to improve.Raced wide for the majority of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse had bled from both nostrils for the first time. Trainer T Gollan was advised REFERO would be stood down from racing for a period of 3 months and must gallop 1000m in the presence of a Steward prior to its next race start under AR79(4).
 
DEEP STATE – Raced wide for the majority of the event. laid in for a short distance near the 700m.
 
DUBLIN DE QUO – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Laid in under pressure in the early stages of the home straight.
 
BELISTIC MAN – Near the 150m, when weakening, was steadied when placed in restricted room between DUSTY DIAMOND and ALLEZ ZOU, both of which shifted ground when under pressure.
 
KABOOM – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 5: GUIDE DOGS QLD Class 1 Plate 1200 metres
 
The start of this event was delayed as result of DRAGON’S JUSTICE requiring re-saddling on arrival at the barriers.
 
BIRAGUE – Fractious leaving the saddling enclosure, underwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers and was cleared to start. Change of tactics, to be ridden less forward with cover if circumstances permit. After bounding in the air on jumping was restrained shortly after the start and was caught racing three wide without cover at the rear of the field.Bounded in the air on jumping and lost ground.
 
FASTLING – Raced in restricted for a short distance near the 800m before shifting out approaching 700m and being obliged to race three wide for the remainder of the event.
 
VAIN FOX – Began awkwardly.
 
ATREVIDA – Steadied near the 900m when ENTERPRISE BELLA was taken in by BAD EDUCATION which shifted in when not totally clear. J Orman, rider of BAD EDUCATION, was advised to exercise greater care.Rider J Orman reported the horse may not have appreciated today’s firm track conditions.
 
CONAIR – Bumped at the start.
 
DRAGON'S JUSTICE – On arrival at the barriers the saddle on the horse was readjusted. Jumped out at the start and bumped CONAIR.

SPARKY GIRL – Began awkwardly.
 
SHADIE MILLY – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
BAD EDUCATION - Rider J Orman reported the horse may not have appreciated today’s firm track conditions.
 
 
 
Race 6:CLAYTON'S TOWING Class 2 Handicap 1600 metres
 
EXALTED CROWN – Jumped in at the start and bumped TRAVOLI. As C Robertson had left the course Stewards adjourned an inquiry into his whip use in the home straight to the Kilcoy meeting on Saturday 26th November.
 
DANEZEL – Bumped at the start. Inconvenienced near the 1000m. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
 
CALCAREOUS – Jumped out at the start. After being caught wide in the early stages was permitted to stride forward and lead the event from the 1000m.
 
LEORED – Slow to begin.
 
MR DUDWEY – Change of tactics, to be ridden less forward with cover if circumstances permit. After being caught wide in the early stages was restrained to a position with cover near the 900m. Jumped in at the start.
 
TRIPLE CITIZEN – Crowded at the start between CALCAREOUS and MR DUDWEY, both of which shifted ground.
 
FORBIDDEN ONE – When the pace steadied passing the 1300m was forced wider on the track when EXALTED CROWN shifted out.
 
TRAVOLI – After being slow to begin was bumped by EXALTED CROWN which jumped in shortly after. Jumped a shadow passing the 1000m resulting in rider M Du Plessis becoming unbalanced for a short distance. DANEZEL, which was following, was inconvenienced.
 
BOLD DELAGO – Jumped in at the start and bumped DANEZEL.
 
 
Race 7: Hideaway Weddings Maiden Plate 1600 metres
 
FEELING TOFFY – Began awkwardly. Leaving the 1000m raced in restricted room to the inside of VAN NUYS and had to be eased. When weakening in the home straight had to be steadied from the heels of EMBOSSING which shifted out.
 
IL TORO D'ORO – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
LOVE DEMON – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Rider C Robertson reported he had concerns with the horse from the 700m and for that reason he elected not to pressure the horse in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Co-trainer A Simpson was advised LOVE DEMON must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.
 
CHAYSE 'N' NOAH – Slow to begin.
 
EMBOSSING – Began awkwardly. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
I PREFER MINTIES – Slow to begin.  Leaving the 400m improved onto heels and had to be steadied.
 
VAN NUYS – Due to a clerical error Stewards, upon questioning co-trainer S Laxon, permitted the horse to race without earmuffs. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Near the 1000m shifted in and away from IL TORO D’ORO resulting in FEELING TOFFY being eased.
