SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
 
GENERAL
 
Stewards permitted the following weight variations at today’s meeting:
Race 4: EARN OUT – L Tarrant 54kgs (+0.5kg)
 
 
Race 1: CELLAR MAINTENANCE AUSTRALIA Maiden Plate 1400 metres
 
LYTABLAZE – Jumped awkwardly and was then bumped and lost ground. Over raced for a short distance in the early stages.
 
INQUEST – Laid out over the concluding stages.
 
NAGAMIE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
SEACHEST – A pre-race veterinary examination of the horse which made contact with the enclosure gate, passed the mare to race. Raced wide throughout.
 
TWOSEY – Jumped in at the start and bumped LYTABLAZE.
 
BROOKLYN DASH – Early stages of the straight had difficulty securing clear running.
 
Race 2: MASK EVENTS Maiden Plate 1400 metres
 
LET'S PROSPER – Over raced in the early and middle stages.
 
MONT ROYAL - After being loaded into the barriers, became fractious and got both forelegs up on the barrier partition, underwent a veterinary examination, and was declared a late scratching at 1:36pm on veterinary advice. On declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered all bets on MONT ROYAL refunded in full and the following deductions to apply:
 
1st   SLEIGH QUEEN – 0c win, 1c place
2nd   WISE LEGEND – 1c place
3rd VICTORY’S GHOST – 1c place
 
Trainer G McCauley was advised that MONT ROYAL would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again.
 
ENWHYCE – Bumped heavily at the start.
 
LOVEZELADYS – Raced three wide without cover.
 
AYNAT - Raced three wide throughout.
 
TIKITIBOO – Over raced in the early stages.
 
SLEIGH QUEEN – Shifted in at the start and bumped ENWHYCE. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
 
VADAMOON (NZ) – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
Race 3: OUTFIT OF THE DAY Class 1 Handicap 1000 metres
 
OUR ROCKETMAN – Slow to begin.
 
DUCHESS ROTHESAY – Blundered after passing the 600m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
SOOBLOND – Fractious in the barriers and then jumped awkwardly.
 
STUCK IN A DREAM – Slow to begin. Hung out during the middle stages.
 
 
Race 4: LOVE & PARTNERS CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS Class 2 Handicap 1400 metres
 
BUON ACQUISTO (NZ) – Bumped at the start by YES TO EXCESS.
 
FINSCEAL – Stood flat footed at the start.
 
MEDIA SCANDAL – Jumped in and made heavy contact with YES TO EXCESS.
 
LEORED – Stood flat footed at the start.
 
YES TO EXCESS – Bumped at the start by MEDIA SCANDAL.
 
EARN OUT – Jumped awkwardly. Raced ungenerously for a short distance approaching the 1200m.
 
Race 5: SUNCOAST CABS RATINGS BAND 0 - 62 Handicap 1800 metres
 
CAIRNDOW – Apprentice C Collis was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m.
 
I PONDER – Slow to begin. Steadied from heels near the 600m and then held up for clear running until passing the 500m.
 
PAINTED BLACK - Jockey K Zechner was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m.
 
EYELEFTIT – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
 
Race 6: PIERCE AVENUE LODGE PTY LTD QTIS Three-Year-Old BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200 metres
 
GRANITE PRINCE – Slow to begin. Rider reported the horse raced green, hung in during the race and shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
SPOOKY SPIRIT – Over raced in the early stages when being restrained in an attempt to obtain cover and continued to over race until the 600m. Raced wide for the majority of the race. Rider obliged to stop riding over the concluding stages to avoid the heels of STILL READY which shifted out.
 
STILL READY – Tightened at the start and lost ground. Altered course passing the 100m to obtain clear running.
 
PRIMED FOR VICTORY – Jumped in at the start and bumped STILL READY.
 
MORE THAN SUBTLE – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be coughing and have a poor post-race recovery. Trainer M Currie advised that he would assess the filly in the coming days and report back to stewards anything which may have affected the performance.
 
 
Race 7: TAB RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 Handicap 1200 metres
 
SON OF MERCURY - Raced wide throughout.
 
CARRIER BUSTER – Slow to begin. Unable to be tested by the rider over the final stages when racing in restricted room.
 
BRAVE MASO – Disappointed for a run near the 250m and then held up for clear running from that point onwards.
 
VONZITHER – Raced wide throughout.
 
KABOOM – Began awkwardly and lost ground at the start.
