BOB MARK’S BOY – Began awkwardly and lost ground. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, jockey L. Stewards noted the explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

CROISSANTS – Began awkwardly and lost ground.

SEALEGS LILLY – Began very awkwardly and shifted out. Steadied near the 200m when tightened for room to the inside of MOWER (App. H English), which had to be steadied and shifted in and away from CRAIG AND PEDRO (J. BEACH BUSINESS – Bumped near the 50m.

SNAKE ATTACK – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg. Trainer P. Webster was advised he will need to provide a veterinary clearance for SNAKE ATTACK prior to the gelding racing again.

Cullen reported that in his opinion the gelding, which was having its first start after a spell, would be better suited to races over a longer distance than today’s event. He added that he believed the gelding would benefit from the removal of ear muffs from the gear. Trainer R. Frazer confirmed he would give consideration to removing the ear muffs for the gelding’s next start.

IBELIEVEICANFLY – Apprentice H. English reported the mare was inclined to hang in in the early stages.

ZERZURA – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. When questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer R. Frazer reported that the mare was having only her second start for his stable and had begun awkwardly and raced wide at her previous start at Morven. ROSA MARGUERITA – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

HILDESHEIM – Tailed the field in the early and middle stages. When questioned regarding the performance, jockey C. Bryen reported that the mare was one paced and in his opinion would be better suited to races over a longer distance than today’s event.
