The starting stalls were tested by Stewards prior to race 1 and performed correctly.

RACE 1 WOODS GRAIN CLASS 1 HCP 1000M
MISS AMABELLA- Slow to jump and rider reported that the mare did not handle the hard track.
SIR STEPHEN- Jockey W O’Connell reported that the horse was reluctant to stretch out on the hard track after losing ground at the start when tightened between other runners.
LUNA AZZURA- Jumped out of the start contacting another runner.
FIELDS OF OXLEY- Bumped at the start.
AIRMASS- Jumped awkwardly and raced wide in the middle stages.
SABOTEUR- Jumped outward striking the stall upright.
MAGIC RAELENE- Hung out early in the race and ran wide on the home turn. Rider B Richardson reprimanded for failing to weigh in for 5th place.
The starting stall of ROMP IT IN did not open and the gelding jumped forward striking and opening the gate. ROMP IT IN then reared high appearing to strike it’s head on the stall uprights and took no place in the race. Stewards determined that the horse be declared a non-runner as it was not afforded to fair start. ROMP IT IN was declared a non runner and all monies on ROMP IT IN were to be refunded and the following deductions were declared

ROMP IT IN was inspected by the Veterinarian and no significant abnormalities were noted.
RACE 2 B & R WEBSTER QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 120
ELUSIVE LEGACY- ELUSIVE LEGACY was scratched on Veterinary advice at 2:10 PM.
PET DRAGON- Backed out of the starting stalls dislodging rider W O’Connell who jarred his left leg. PET DRAGON was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 2:12 PM. PET DRAGON must obtain a new barrier certificate prior to racing again.
READY FOR ROYALTY- Could not be loaded and was withdrawn at 2:17 pm. Given the circumstances trainer K Waller was advised that a warning was placed on the horse.
After consulting with the on course bookmakers concerning betting
markets at the time of withdrawals a decision was taken to base the deductions on the three withdrawals being at the same time. All monies on PET DRAGON, READY FOR ROYALTY and ELUSIVE LEGACY to be refunded and the following deductions to apply

GO WEST COSTA- Which raced the previous day at Warwick was vetted and passed to start.
DESTINY’S DESIRE- Shifted out at 1100 m.
BLUE RIVER raced wide without cover.
A post race Veterinary inspection of ELUSIVE LEGACY revealed superficial lacerations to hind Legs.
RACE 3 B & W RURAL/REARDON FARMS TALWOOD CUP OPEN HCP 1650 m
DUNGIVEN- Jumped awkwardly and shifted out.
BILLY GOAT-App E Cass was questioned regarding her riding and the performance of the long odds on favourite which raced in the four wide position for the majority of the race. App Cass advised that her instructions were to take an easy lead if possible however if it was not possible to take a sit behind the leaders and work home from the 600m. App Cass said that she attempted to lead but at the turn out of the straight the horse was three wide and unable to cross and therefore she was forced to race outside the two leaders in a three horse field. App Cass added that BILLY GOAT hung out slightly to place her in a four wide position during the event. Bearing in mind App Cass’s inexperience Stewards took the matter no further however, will refer this ride to the Racing Queensland training department for their attention.
RACE 4 NEWINGA ESTATES BENCHMARK 55 HCP 1400m
I’M NO RUBY- Dipped at the start.
JANDY GIRL- Began awkwardly throwing her head about and lost ground. When restrained by the rider the horse lost further ground and raced at the rear of the field.
RACE 5 TALWOOD STORE BENCHMARK 65HCP 1200M
App E Cass was replaced by jockey W O’Connell on TEMUJIN’S QUEEN upon request of the connections. Upon approval of the request Stewards ordered that App. Cass be paid a riding fee and any prizemoney percentage earned by connections.
I’M THE ONE- Shifted in slightly shortly after the start crowding horses to its inside.
LONG LASTING- Moved out in the first 50 m placing horses to its outside in restricted room.
PROJECT COMPASSION was eased and lost ground in the first 50 m when tightened between horses.
Action re horses.
All winners sent to be swabbed.
