SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:


From Jandowae Race Club - 23 May 2015.

Race 3- Jandowae Memorial Handicap 1200M.

Stewards opened and subsequently suspended an enquiry into an incident from the 600M involving ARMA DE FUEGO, LE MAX and DAYZARI and their respective riders. Stewards took evidence from those riders involved and reviewed the video surveillance footage available at the time. Stewards have decided the evidence presented was such that no one rider can be attributed blame for the incident and therefore, no further action regarding this matter has been taken.

GENERAL

Race 1- WARATAH MAIDEN PLATE 1100M

FEAR NONE- slow to begin.

PUBLIC FORTUNE was bumped by another runner approaching the 900m point.

CROISSANTS- Laid out under pressure over the final stages.




Race 2- LANDMARK BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1100M

DANA DANCER came into contact within another runner shortly after the start.

BRITISH BULLDOG travelled wide during the early stages of the event.

NO OTHER WAY was bumped by another runner shortly after the start. The horse was tightened for room had to ease off the heels of KBENGAL which rolled in marginally approaching the 1000m point.


Race 3- PRESIDENTS CLASS B1000M HANDICAP.

Correct weight was delayed while Mr C. Prow the Trainer of the second placed horse IM MAKING A CLANG viewed the surveillance film available. No objection was lodged and correct weight was subsequently declared.

GHANA appeared to have baulked at the 50 m point where it raced erratically and then veered out sharply resulting in the rider having to check his mount, this resulted in IM MAKING A CLANG being held up slightly and having to shift in. Stewards spoke with the rider of GHANA Apprentice Jockey Q. Krogh and Trainer Mr T. Austin in relation to the matter. Mr Austin advised Stewards he was unable to explain GHANA”S behaviour over the final stages of this event. He stated it was Ghana’s first run for him and he would look at a change to the gelding’s gear in an effort to correct the problem. Stewards accepted Mr Austin’s explanation.

Race 4: GEORGE BOURNE ASSOCIATES GOLDEN CLASSIC QTIS CLASS 3 1200M PLATE.

SCHWEITZ travelled wide over the final stages of the race.

ROAR ABLIBERTY was tightened for room at the start.

FABLED DOMAIN jumped out at the start and hung out during the final stages of the event.


Race 5: BLACK TOYOTA TAMBO OPEN 1400M HANDICAP

Correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey D. Rewald and opportunity to view the photo finish image. D. Rewald was satisfied with the image and correct weight was subsequently declared by Stewards.

TESTASCANA rolled in marginally approaching the 1200m and tightened another runner.

A DEPENDANT came into contact with another runner at the start resulting in the gelding losing ground.

POWERFUL JET was slow to begin. The rider of the gelding had to take hold at the 1200m point after being tightened for room and lost ground.

HELLUVA HURRY jumped out and made heavy contact with another runner.


Race 6: TURNBULL BENCHMARK 65 1800M HANDICAP
The start of this event was delayed due to the rider of BLUE JEST Apprentice Jockey S. Palmer was reweighed.

BLUE JEST hung out from the 600m point and travelled wide over the final stages of the event.

PERFECT ALIGNED jumped out slightly at the start.

NORTHERN MAGIC jumped in at the start and as a result tightened another runner. The gelding then over raced in the early stages of the event.

STREET BATTLE was tightened for room between runners at the start.
