SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
Innisfail 21/11/2020
 
MURTALLICA - Trainer T Clive advised that blood samples taken subsequent to this meeting revealed the mare to be suffering from a virus and to be mildly anaemic. Mr Clive who advised the mare had been sent for an immediate spell, was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to next race start.
 
Jockey F Edwards was fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of AR190(3) for accepting rides on CHARGING CLEAR (Race 2) and MURTALLICA (Race 5) when overweight.
 
GENERAL
 
As QAS were late to arrive on course the start times for Races 1 - 3 were amended as follows:
 
Race 1- 12:43pm
Race 2- 1:15pm
Race 3- 1:48pm
 
Jockey N Day was fined the sum of $300 under the provisions of AR190(3) for accepting rides on FOXY SECRET (Race 3) and REVENIRE (Race 5) when overweight. Replacements were made as per Race Day Summary.
 
Race 1: TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000m
 
SWEET DOLLY - Bumped with another runner on jumping. Shifted wider upon entering the home straight bumping with another runner.
 
BEAUTIFUL TIME - Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
PRETTY SMILES - Bumped with another runner on jumping. Bumped by another runner on entering the home straight, shifted wider and bumped with a further runner.
 
GREAT MINDS - Slow into stride after beginning awkwardly and bumping with another runner. Restrained around the heels of another runner passing the 800m. Inconvenienced after improving onto the heels of another runner on entering the home straight. Made contact with another runner nearing the winning post.
 
VIENNA CRUISE - Became unbalanced after being bumped by another runner on entering the home straight. Made contact with another runner nearing the winning post. Raced wide throughout.
 
CAFÉ DE COOPS - Began awkwardly and bumped with another runner. Inconvenienced after improving onto the heels of another runner on entering the home straight.
 
JASMINE’S PRIDE - Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide throughout.
 
FIGURED - Slow away. Failed to muster the necessary speed to maintain contact with the field and trailed throughout. Finished tailed off. The gelding, which was having its 1st race start, underwent a post-race veterinary examination which failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
Race 2: HELLO PICNIC TOWNSVILLE QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP 1300m
 
WATERWAY - Slow to begin.
 
CINDERELLA ROSE - Slow into stride. Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
GOODBYE EARL - Slow to begin.
 
BRIGALOW BOY - Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
RIVERSIDE BLUES - Hung out rounding the home turn. Trainer B Williams was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing manners.
 
Race 3: TOWNSVILLE TRIVIA NIGHTS MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m
 
FOXY SECRET - As Jockey N Day was unable to satisfy the allocated weight Jockey Denicious Smith was substituted as the rider of the mare.
 
ASSETS - Fractious in the parade yard. Raced wide the majority.
 
FINDELTON - Slow to begin.
 
ALL TOO NATURAL - Slow to begin.
 
FLASH FOX - Taken wider by another runner which hung out passing the 800m. Raced wide the majority.
 
HIDDEN CLASSIC - Shifted in on jumping bumping with another runner. Raced greenly throughout shifting out approaching the 1000m bumping with another runner and hung out passing the 800m taking another runner wider on the track. Trainer M Preston was advised the gelding would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
 
MISS FUBULICIOUS - Bumped by another runner which shifted in on jumping and then tightened for room soon after. Raced greenly down the running.
 
SENOR PIG - Over-raced approaching the 1000m.
 
LIGHTHEADEDNESS - Bumped with another runner soon after jumping. Over-raced approaching the 1000m.
 
ZEBONET - Bumped by another runner which was racing greenly approaching the 1000m. Shifted significantly wider rounding the home turn to obtain clear running.
 
MRS SHMICKELBERG - Raced wide throughout.
 
TEELING - Jockey J Stanley advised that his mount had been inclined to lay in throughout placing him at a slight disadvantage.
 
Race 4: 5 STAR FITNESS TOWNSVILLE BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1200m
 
TEMPO - Slow to begin. Obliged to restrain passing the 1000m when crossed by another runner. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.  
 
ABERRATION - Slow to begin.
 
COUSIN MUSCLES - Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
 
VARSITY - Shifted in passing the 1000m when not fully clear of another runner. Jockey S Sheargold was severely reprimanded as a result of this incident. Finished tailed off. Trainer L McCormack was advised a veterinary clearance would  be required prior to next race start.
 
MY GIRL POPPY - Slow to begin.
 
ZIPSPUR - Inclined to lay out passing the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be sore in the off fetlock. Trainer T Bannon was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to next race start.
 
DO THE HIPPY- Improved onto heels approaching the 600m having to be restrained.
 
SIMeULUE- Raced wide the majority.
 
FINAL WARNING- Obliged to steady passing the 1000m when racing in restricted room.
 
Race 5: CORAL COAST LIGHTNING OPEN HANDICAP 1000m
 
REVENIRE- As Jockey N Day was unable to satisfy the allocated weight Jockey Denicious Smith was substituted as the rider of the gelding.
 
CHEZBLACK- Blundered badly on jumping and lost significant ground as a result. Jockey J Stanley advised that the mare then struggled to muster speed in the early stages before finishing off fairly.
 
MORENO- Inclined to shift out under pressure down the running.
 
BERAHT- Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 6: QUEEN OF THE COAST FILLIES & MARES BENCHMARK 72 HANDICAP 1400m
 
DON’T DOUBT LARA - Dwelt in the barriers and slowly away as a result. Trainer J Manzelmann was advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s barrier manners. Raced wide from the 600m.
 
SHE’S NIC’N OFF - Slow to begin. Obliged to restrain off heels when crowded for room rounding the home turn.
 
ANGOLA MISS - Slow to begin. Raced wide form the 600m.
 
OUR CHIQUILLA - Raced wide throughout. Tired noticeably over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have sustained minor lacerations to its hind pasterns consistent with having been galloped on in running.
 
MOLONGLE MAGIC - Obliged to steady when crossed by another runner approaching the 400m.
 
SIZZLING SUN - Shifted in approaching the 400m inconveniencing another runner. Jockey N Nelson was severely reprimanded as a result of this incident.
 
Race 7: CORAL COAST CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1609m
 
STONE WARRIOR - As the gelding had competed at Mackay 2 days previously, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Raced wide the majority.
 
BUSTER BLOCK - After being marginally slow away was tightened between runners and lost ground as a result.
 
TAMBO’S HEART - Inclined to over-race in the early and middle stages.
 
SALESMAN - Over-raced for some distance when placed in restricted room in the middle stages.
 
FORTIFICATION - Obliged to momentarily restrain off the heels of another runner which was over-racing approaching the 1000m. Held up for clear running on several occasions in the home straight.
 
HEYINGTON - Obliged to ease after improving onto the heels of another runner approaching the 1000m. Raced wide the majority.
 
NOTIO - Raced wide the majority.
 
Race 8: PERFORMANCE PHYSIO CLASS 3 PLATE 1609m
 
SOLDIERS - Fractious in the barrier. Commenced to over-race rounding the 1400m turn and continued to do so for some distance.
 
NICCONI PASQUALE - Inclined to over-race rounding the 1400m turn and for a short distance after.
 
LIVE THE MOMENT - Slow to muster early speed after being buffeted between runners on jumping. Shifted wider near the 500m to improve.
 
BORELLA - Bumped by another runner on jumping, shifted in and tightened another runner.
 
GREY TOP - Shifted in on jumping.
 
LASSITERS LOAD - Lost ground when tightened between runners on jumping. Inclined to lay in during the early part of the home straight hampering another runner passing the 300m.
 
WE’LL BEAT IT - Hampered by another runner which was inclined to lay in passing the 300m.
 
RICH PRINCESS - Inclined to shift in under pressure down the running.
 
UPPER DELIGHT - Compounded in the home straight. Jockey S Sheargold advised the gelding had been making some irregular respiratory sounds in running. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Nonetheless Trainer G Hughes was advised that a veterinary clearance including the result of a scoping examination would be required prior to next race start.
