GENERAL

As apprentice T. Brooker was injured, riding replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.

Race 1: NEIL MANSELL CONCRETE MAIDEN H'CAP – 1050M

The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow the connections of the 2nd placegetter SAMKAMA to view the patrol footage in the home straight.

GO GET SUM – Began very awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. Hung out in the middle stages. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight. Trainer S. Croxford reported that the gelding was galloped on on the nearside hind leg.

CENTURION LAD – S. Bogenhuber reported that her mount raced greenly and hung in in the home straight.

MURTIBELLA – Hampered at the start

ANOTHER LISTING – Slow to begin and was then tightened for room shortly after the start. Raced greenly in the home straight.

SAMKAMA – Apprentice T. Williams reported that her mount hung out throughout and as a result she was unable to ride the gelding out with her usual vigour.

TEO’S BELLE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

STRIKING WARRIOR – Tightened for room shortly after the start.

Race 2: NEIL MANSELL TRANSPORT BM65 H'CAP – 1625M

BILLABONG BIRD – Shifted out to obtain clear running at the 400m.

RED HOT DAZZLER – Slow to begin.

CABALLO RAPIDO – Steadied when tightened for room shortly after the start.

UNIQUE MISTIQUE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

SIPPIN’BUNDY – Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.

DEEP HEAT – Slow to begin.

Race 3: HOCKEY HAULAGE TRANSPORT F&M CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1050M

START THE SHOW – Began awkwardly and lost ground.

HEADACHE – Overraced in the early stages.

SHE’S GOT BEAUTY – When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, G. Geran indicated that the mare would be better suited to races over a longer distance than today’s event.

COCKTAIL THONG – Trainer R. Mackay was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare for its manners in the mounting yard.

ALL OUR WIVES – Raced wide throughout.

Race 4: JOHN WATSON HEAVY HAULAGE C,G&E CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1050M

CLARADINI – Tightened for room leaving the 800m when OTOSHI shifted in when overracing. Checked and made contact with the running rail over the concluding stages when disappointed for a narrow run to the inside of LISTANERA.

LISTANERA – Overraced in the early and middle stages.

VIVA LA PROXY – Bumped with another runner near the 550m. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.

OTOSHI – Apprentice B. Newport reported that his mount raced keenly throughout. Steadied from heels when overracing leaving the 800m. Bumped with another runner near the 550m.

DANORO LAD – Slow to begin.

HEY MURRI – Knuckled at the start.

MAXIRODS – Held up near the 400m. Raced in restricted room and bumped with VIVA LA PROXY over the concluding stages.

Race 5: WILSONTON MEATS CLASS 3 PLATE – 1300M

AGADIR – When questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer C. Smith indicated that following the previous start at Rockhampton the gelding had jarred up and he believed the improved performance tonight could be attributed to the softer track.

ROCKDAY – Slow to begin.

COUNTER MEAL – Raced keenly in the early stages.

DREAM FINNISH – Slow to begin. Overraced on heels leaving the 800m.

Race 6: L J HOOKER TOOWOOMBA QTIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE – 1100M

LOST CLASSIC – Brushed the running rail and became unbalanced when racing in restricted room near the 800m.

MARKED FOREVER – Jumped awkwardly and bumped with I’VE GOT FRIENDS. Raced keenly in the early stages.

DIAMONDLINE – Apprentice R. Johnston-Bell reported at scale that in his opinion his mount, which was having its first start in 5 months, would derive a fitness benefit from the event.

Race 7: WILLMOT ACCOUNTING BM75 H'CAP – 870M

HIZOU – Slow to begin. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
