Race 1: HANNAS OPEN H'CAP – 1050M
VINTAGE MOSS – Raced ungenerously for a short distance whilst being restrained in the early stages.
I AM BOSS – Bumped another runner on jumping away.
JUST A BULLET – Bumped another runner on jumping away.
BUSH CAVIAR – Began awkwardly. Raced wide from the 700m.
STARSTREAMED – Slow to begin. Rider Bradley Appo was fined $200 for weighing in in excess of half a kilogram over his allotted weight.
Race 2: FASTWAY COURIERS MAIDEN PLATE – 1050M
The start of this race was delayed to allow the broadcast of an interstate event.
LITTLE DUTCHY – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
TIME TO REMINISCE – Laid out rounding the home turn.
WHEN IN DOUBT – Slow to begin.
MEZA VERDE – Slow to begin. Raced ungenerously with its head in the air whilst being restrained near the 900m. Raced greenly throughout.
SHE’S RIGHT – Steadied to avoid heels when crossed by another runner near the 900m. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
DANCING DERINA – Raced three wide for the majority of the event. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
Race 3: VANDERFIELD JOHN DEERE BENCHMARK 75 H'CAP – 1650M
The start of this race was delayed to allow the broadcast of an interstate event.
IN THE GENES – Bumped with another runner on two occasions near the 1100m.
MR ALFRANCO – After being caught wide in the early stages was allowed to stride forward to obtain a position outside the leader near the 950m.
HARADIFY – Began awkwardly.
ALWAYS A GIBBERER – Commenced to overrace immediately after jumping, proving difficult to ride for a considerable distance. Bumped with another runner on two occasions near the 1100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the horse had an abnormal action in the off hind leg, however was not lame. Given the significance of the abnormality with the horse’s action, trainer J. Fitzgerald was advised that he will be required to provide a veterinary clearance for the horse prior to it being permitted to race again.
Race 4: K&R PLUMBING SUPPLIES CLASS 5 H'CAP – 1200M
TIGERISH – Slow to begin.
VULCANIC DRAGON – Raced wide throughout.
Race 5: WELLCAMP AIRPORT CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1000M
As J. Morris failed to arrive on course, B. Stower was substituted as the rider of LADY MERCURY. Stewards will interview jockey Morris regarding his failure to fulfil his engagement.
COUSIN BEN – Acting on an assurance from trainer S. Stanek that the gelding does not wear winkers and that RISA had been requested to remove this gear, the horse was permitted to race without that gear. Stewards will contact the Trainers Service Centre regarding the horse’s registered gear. Slow into stride.
I AM RELENTLESS – Slow to begin. Raced three wide throughout.
LADY MERCURY – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
SHORELINE – Apprentice J. Oliver dropped his whip in the home straight.
CLARAGH – Slow into stride.
Race 6: COCA COLA AMATIL CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1100M
BIZARRE ROCK – Momentarily held up rounding the home turn.
GEEJAY – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
DRAGON MASTER – Steadied from heels shortly after the start.
HAMILTON – Jumped in at the start and made contact with another runner. After being caught wide in the early stages was ridden forward to obtain a position outside the leader after passing the 800m.
KATZENPFOETCHEN – Slow to begin.
AL ALMIGHTY – Stewards acceded to a request by trainer J. Dorrington to add extra packing under the saddle as the horse has a high wither. As a result, apprentice L. Tilley was unable to claim down to his allotted riding weight. In the circumstances, Stewards took no action.
AQUATOR – Bumped by another runner on jumping away. Raced wide throughout.
Race 7: NEIL MANSELL CONCRETE CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1310M
The start of this race was delayed when OUR ROCK O’REILLY took charge of its rider during the preliminary and galloped a circuit of the track. OUR ROCK O’REILLY was declared a late scratching at 3.50 pm on veterinary advice. Stewards ordered that all monies invested on OUR ROCK O’REILLY be refunded, with the following deductions to apply to successful wagers:
11 cents in the dollar for the Win #10
13 cents in the dollar for place of winner #10
12 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #1
10 cents in the dollar for 3rd place #9

THE GOLDEN PIG – Jumped in at the start, making contact with another runner. Laid out rounding the turn near the 800m.
MATILDARE – Jumped out at the start. Bumped by another runner near the 900m. Raced three wide throughout. Laid out when bumped over the concluding stages.
DRUNK ON A PLANE – Bumped at the start.
YEEZY – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
FLIGHT TO GLORY – Began awkwardly and then was inconvenienced when bumped by another runner. Raced four wide without cover throughout.
Race 8: GC EVENT HIRE QTIS 3YO BENCHMARK 65 H'CAP
IMA SHOWMAN – Bumped heavily at the start and lost ground.
LOST CLASSIC – Shifted out at the start and bumped heavily with another runner.
BAM’S PRINCESS – Momentarily steadied near the 1100m to avoid the heels of KAVALONG (J. Oliver), which shifted in when not completely clear. Apprentice J. Oliver was advised to exercise more care. Raced wide for the majority of the event. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
BRUMBY JACK – Slow into stride.
TRUMP IT – Slow into stride.
ROSIE POSIE – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
