Race 1: KILLARNEY CO-OP MAIDEN PLATE - 800M
DASHING POWER- As A Badger was duel declared, F Jervis was the gelding’s replacement rider.
GOODBYE BEVERLEY – Slow to begin.
ZALIBRI – Buffeted between runners shortly after the start and lost ground.
MI INSTINCT – Hung out in the early and middle stages.
RIMMSKI – Raced wide throughout.
THE HOOLIGAN - Raced wide throughout.
Race 2: TOPX WARWICK MAIDEN PLATE– 1350M
TAH DAH – Declared a late scratching at 10:10 am on vets advice.
BOLD CROSSING - Slow to begin.
DUTCH TWIST – Steadied from heels near the 100m.
CLOWN IN THE MOON – Hung out in the early and middles stages.
IDIDITMYWAY – Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Steadied from heels near the 800m.
TAN TAT WISH – Slow to begin.
KALELARGA – Began awkwardly.
CALIFORNIA SPYDER – When questioned as to the improved performance, Jockey C Eaton, who rode the filly at its only other race start, reported that on that occasion the filly raced greenly and settled towards the tail of the field at a venue suited to horses which race on the pace. She added that with the race experience from that event the filly travelled far more tractably today which she felt was the major reason for the improved performance. Stewards noted the explanation.
Race 3: ANGUS WICKHAM MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP– 1350M
REAL NATURAL - Trainer L. Clarke was reprimanded for failing to produce thoroughbred identification card. Stewards were mindful of Mr. Clarke’s good record in relation to this rule. Shifted out when placed under pressure from the 150m.
STAR OF COLUMBIA – Held up for a short distance passing the 200m before shifting out to secure clear running.
COCKTAILSALLROUND – Steadied from heels near the 900m.
CLASSROOM DESTINY – Raced keen in the early stages.
BOWIES BAYCONI – Held up from the 500m until turning for home.
CELESTIAL GREY – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground shortly after. Raced wide throughout.
HAY LIFE - Tightened for room at the start and lost ground shortly after. Raced wide throughout.
SHE’S WILD – Raced wide throughout.
Race 4: KILLARNEY CUP BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP - 1500M
CHAMPAGNE ROCK – Raced wide throughout.
Race 5: VERONICA'S ON WILLOW/SMITH'S FARMS-THE FALLS KILLARNEY QTIS BM55 HCP - 1100M
RICH TRADITION – Slow to begin.
CLOSE ENOUGH – Raced wide without cover throughout. Hung out during the early and middle stages.
INFINITE LEE – Began awkwardly making heavy contact with the barrier gate. In this incident Jockey R. Goltz sustained an injury to his left leg which required assessment from the Queensland Ambulance Services. Post-race veterinary examination of the mare which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant findings. Trainer B. Keenan advised that he would consider the mares racing future.
SONADOR FIRE – Slow to muster early speed.
DRUM MASTER – Raced wide with cover throughout.
