RACE 1: CLASS 1 HANDICAP 850m


WONDERFUL TESS – Inclined to lay in under pressure in home straight. Apprentice H Phillips dislodged returning to enclosure.

I AM MCLOVIN – Apprentice M Kai became dislodged on returning to enclosure.

NUG’S POCKET – Knuckled on jumping. Raced with head in air middle stages. Resented the kick back.

JILL’S JOURNEY – Slow to muster speed. Jockey S Bayliss reported that the filly resented the sand kick back.


RACE 2: CLASS B HANDICAP 1100m

SQUEEMI – Weakened in home straight.

THE YES MAN – Jumped out resulting in SAGACIOUS LADY having to check.



RACE 3: QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1100m

IT WASN’T ME – Inclined to lay in over concluding stages.

MANAK – Checked at start. Bumped near 900m.

VISION AND VALUES – Jumped out. Bumped leaving 1000m and again near 900m.

EVERINGHAM – Apprentice H Phillips reported that the gelding resented the kick back.

CHEEKY CHOPPY – Bumped leaving 1000m. Apprentice M Schrapell reported that the gelding raced greenly throughout and that near the 400m he thought the gelding may have swallowed its tongue.


RACE 4: BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1100m

HEZA BIT HISSY – Apprentice B Derbyshire reported that the gelding hung in throughout.

LITTLE ELVIS – Returned to the enclosure in a distressed state and was attended to by the vet. Trainer T Thomas was advised that the gelding would require a vet cert prior to racing again. Trainer T Thomas has since reported that the gelding had recovered well.


RACE 5: BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1465m

FORMAL STAR – Hung out rounding 900m.

FOREGONE – Over raced in the early stages of the race.

DAYUAN – Hung out middle stages

CELTIC DRAGON - Rider R Faehr was fined $100 for using the whip more than 5 times in a forehand manner prior to the 100m.
