When asked to comment on the disappointing performance, Rdr reported after being caught wide, mount was not suited by tight turning track and for this reason desisted from pressuring the horse in the home straight. A post-race vet exam revealed gelding to be lame in off foreleg. Tnr advised gelding would require vet cert prior to resuming racing or trialling.
