Pulled hard in the early stages when being restrained off heels. Apprentice E. Ljung reported at scale that her mount commenced to lose ground after leaving the 600m and dipped on a number of occasions in the early stages of the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the horse had a laceration outside the off fore heel and a mouth ulcer.
