Race 1: PARAWAY PASTORAL COMPANY QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1000 metres
DRAGON TOWN and MALIBU THIEF were late scratchings as there was no riders available.
FRISCO – Slow away when hampered by and inside runner then travelled wide for the majority.
SISTER WHISKY – Jumped outwards hampering FRISCO at the start.
ATTRACTION – Raced wide for the majority.
PINCQAR – Hung out rounding first turn then travelled wide for the remainder. Trainer T. Austin was advised a warning had been placed on the mare.
MISS NOVELTY – Raced ungenerously throughout.
Race 2: STRATHMORE SANTA GERTRUDIS OPEN HANDICAP - 1000 metres
FOUR IRON was a late scratching at 12 pm as there was no rider available.
CRYSTAL MATES – Had heavy contact at the start when runners either side shifted ground, causing the gelding to lose considerable ground then travelled wide for the majority.
WIGPOOL— Jumped inwards making contact with CRYSTAL MATES.
EMPEROR – Jumped outwards making contact with CRYSTAL MATES, then raced ungenerously throughout.
HIDDEN DUCK – Pulled up short after the race but a post race veterinary examination showed no abnormalities.
Race 3: RABOBANK CLASS 3 PLATE - 1200 metres
A short delay to correct weight as Jockey S. Egan and Trainer P. O’Toole (SHARDAY) viewed the photo finish image for second. After doing so, rider and trainer were satisfied with the judge’s placing and correct weight was declared.
INSTINCTIVE MOVE – Was slow away and hard ridden in the early stages.
FISCAL CLIFF – Was slow away.
HIDDEN CHIEF – Reared as the start was effected losing ground.
DIAMONEEZE – Seemed not to handle the track conditions dipping on several occasions and travelled wide in the middle and concluding stages.
Race 4: FOREST PARK SANTA GERTRUS’S CLASS B HANDICAP - 1400 metres
CURLEY GREY – Was scratched as there was no rider available.
KENTUCKY BOMBER – Hampered at the start by another runner.
GRACE AND WILF – Slow away and proved difficult to ride out.
MIGHTY SAVANNAH – Travelled wide for the majority.
JIMNA – Travelled wide for the majority.
Race 5: LAMBERT STUD BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP - 1400 metres
BUTCHER BOY – Knuckled at the start losing ground.
KEV’S DESTINY – Travelled wide for the majority.
SAFE WORLD – Travelled wide for the majority.
