Race 1: TAKEOVER TARGET BenchMark 60 Handicap 850 METRES
1st – PRETTY KITTY 2nd – FRAHA 3rd – SON OF A WARRIOR 4th – HALLE CAT

Prior to the start being effected MIDNIGHT STALKER broke through the barriers and was captured by the clerk of the course after travelling to the home turn at a canter. MIDNIGHT STALKER was returned to the barriers and underwent a veterinary inspection and was cleared to start.

SON OF A WARRIOR caught its cheeker on the gate when leaving the barrier.
At the start SATAN’S CHARIOT jumped outwards and bumped DIABLE.
EMPRESS AYLEAH raced wide throughout.
TELEPHOTO raced wide throughout.
DIABLE raced wide throughout.
SON OF A WARRIOR raced wide throughout.

Race 2: AMBER SMITH QTIS Maiden Plate 1000 METRES
1st – WAR NOISE 2nd – DOERAYME DRAGON 3rd – LIGHTNING ARTIST 4th – BULLETIN BELLE

BULLETIN BELLE had to be re-saddled at the barrier and began awkwardly.
ONE WON’T HURT YA slow into stride
DOERAYME DRAGON raced wide throughout.
COSTA LITTLE raced wide early and middle stages.
GRAND HOTEL raced wide throughout.

Jockey Alex Lawrence the rider of BULLETIN BELLE failed to weigh in for fourth was fined the sum of $100.00 under the terms of AR144.

Race 3: WILLIAMS GRADER HIRE Benchmark 55 Handicap 1194 METRES
1st – AL’S BRIEFS 2nd – ZIP ZIP GIRL 3rd – GARDER LA FOI 4th – PRUSSIAN REIGN

GARDER LA FOI slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
On jumping AL’ BRIEFS jumped outwards hampering DUAN THEO.
Approximately 150 metres metres after the start ZIP ZIP GIRL shifted outwards marginally causing CRYSTALS ‘N’ PEARLS to shift outwards momentarily which resulted in PRUSSIAN REIGN having to steady for a stride.
DANE CHEVAL raced wide throughout.
Near the 50 metres CRYSTAL’S ‘N’ PEARLS shifted in under pressure resulting in PRUSSIAN REIGN having steady momentarily when going for a tight run between DUAN THEO and CRYSTAL’S “N” PEARLS.

Race 4: GLADSTONE CUP 8TH AUGUST OPEN Handicap 1194 METRES
1st – JAVELENTIA 2nd – BLAZE TO FORTUNE 3rd – TESTASCANA 4th - HEADHUNTER

Prior to the start being effected TESTASCANA broke through the barriers and was retrained by the rider after approximately 200 metres. TESTASCANA was returned to the barriers and underwent a veterinary inspection and was cleared to start.

When questioned by stewards about the disappointing run of BASE JUMP jockey Rhiannon Payne stated that BASE JUMP was squeezed shortly after the start, lost ground, dropped back to last then resented the sand coming back in it’s face throughout the race and as a result failed to stretch out. Stewards ordered BASE JUMP to undergo a veterinary inspection which failed to find any abnormalities with BASE JUMP.

Shortly after the start STAY THE NIGHT shifted outwards and COCO DUBAWI shifted into resulting in BASE JUMP being tightened, having to check and lose ground.
BLAZE TO FORTUNE raced wide throughout.
DIRECT DEBIT raced wide throughout.
STAY THE NIGHT returned to the enclosure with blood coming from both nostrils and as a consequence was barred under the terms of AR53 from racing for a period of 3 months. STAY THE NIGHT must also complete a 1000 metre trial to the satisfaction of stewards before racing again.

Race 5: GTC ART UNION BenchMark 65 Handicap 1517 METRES
1st – CLASPED 2nd – PERFECTLY ALIGNED 3rd – FORMAL STAR 4th – DARK ANGEL

On jumping MURRAMARANG jumped inwards hampering QUICK ASSAULT and ZINDABLAKE shifted outwards
bumping with RESTRAING ORDER.
NOBODY’S BOY slow into stride then raced wide throughout.
PERFECTLY ALIGNED raced wide throughout.
TELESIUS raced wide throughout, returned to the mounting enclose sore in near fore. TELESIUS was sent to the veterinary surgeon and was found to be sore in the suspensory ligament.
Approaching the 300 metres QUICK ASSAULT had to ease slightly when IOWNAPRICE stepped in for a stride.
