Race 1: LONGREACH VET SERVICES APPRECIATION QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres
 
Apprentice D. McGillivrary was the replacement rider for G. Steele on TEMPER TEMPER.
 
THE MARSHALL – Slow into stride and travelled wide for much of the race.
 
HONEY BIRD – Had to take hold and lose momentum approaching the 700m when an outside runner shifted ground dictated by another runner shifting ground. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed mild inflammation to the front leg of HONEY BIRD not requiring treatment.
 
JAGRAP – Slow to muster speed.
 
SO STUNNING – Approaching the 700m jockey S. Galvin let his mount shift in when not sufficiently clear tightening runners to the inside. Jockey Galvin was severely reprimanded and reminded of his obligation when shifting ground.
 
SHOW SOME HEART – Slow to muster speed and travelled wide for the majority.
 
PORTABELLE – Apprentice T. Townsend was dislodged on route to the barriers, remounted and was fine to continue. Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
MISS HISSYFIT – Eased and shifted inwards at the 700m to avoid an outside runner shifting ground.
 
Race 2: BALLARD FAMILY APPRECIATION BM 50 HANDICAP - 1000 metres 
 
 
 
Apprentice T. Townsend was the replacement rider for G. Steele on SPLASHETTE.
 
DUCK IN DUBAI – Lay in down the home straight under pressure and shifted in abruptly approaching the 50m.
 
GOLDSAY – Slow to muster speed and travelled wide for much of the race.
 
KAOS AGENT – Finished tailed off, a post-race veterinary inspection revealed no abnormalities.
 
SPLASHETTE – Jumped away awkwardly contacting an inside runner. Inconvenienced over the concluding stages when an outside runner shifted ground.
 
MS WICKED NICCI – Hampered at the start when an outside runner jumped awkwardly.
 
HARD ENOUGH – Travelled wide in the early stages.
 
SERPENTI – Jumped inwards hindering another runner.
 
MISS SIZZ – Jumped away awkwardly and was contacted at the start, resented the kick back in running and hung out rounding the home turn.
 
KURIL FOX – Dictated to over the concluding stages when an outside runner shifted ground.

Race 3: COL ANDERSON MEMORIAL OPEN HANDICAP - 1000 metres  
 
 
ZUKAZ – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
DRAGON FIRE – Fractious prior to jumping.
 
WICKED WOODY – Slow to muster speed.
 
SNIPPY STRATEGIC – Travelled wide for much of the race with cover.
 
LET’S GO CHAMP – Jumped awkwardly and travelled wide for much of the race.
 
 
 
Race 4: GORDON “POPEYE” SAUNDERS MEMORIAL BM 65 HANDICAP - 1200 metres      
 
Jockey S. Galvin was the replacement rider for G. Steele on ZENDAYE.
 
There was a delay as jockey J. Rudd requested to see the photo finish print prior to correct weight being given.
 
CHARLES – Travelled wide in the early stages with no cover.
 
TURKEY BEACH – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
FLEWSHOT – Lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
ZENDAYE – Contacted at the start when an outside runner jumped inwards losing ground, taken wider to gain clear running at the top of the straight.
 
ARCHADE – Travelled wide in the early stages.
 
CLATEAU – Layover at the start contacting the side of the gates on jumping.
 
AQUAGEM – Jumped awkwardly contacting an inside runner.
 
HUSSON’S SHOUT – Moved wide at the top of the straight to find clear running.
 
 
Race 5: PETER ANDERSON APPRECIATION CLASS B HANDICAP - 1400 metres 
 
 
 
Jockey S. McGovern was the replacement rider of RED AND GOLD.
 
RED AND GOLD – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
 
FROZE – Jumped away awkwardly and slow.
 
CAITLIN EMILY – Jumped away awkwardly contacting an outside runner.
 
GREY FALCON – Slow to muster speed.
 
BABYLON EXPRESS -- Travelled wide for the majority.
 
LUBYOUFOREVER – Contacted at the start.
 
HOT CHOCOLATE – Heavily contacted shortly after the start.
 
PERCY PICKLES – Shifted out shortly after the start despite the efforts of the jockey contacting an outside runner. Taken wider at the top of the straight to take advantage of the clear running.
 
 
Race 6: XXXX GOLD CUP OPEN PLATE – 1400 metres
 
 
HUNTER ISLAND – Travelled wide for the majority with cover.
 
AMADEO – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
 
DO I HAVE TO – Slow into stride and could not retain contact so taken wider to avoid the dusty conditions.
 
ARGENTO PERLO – Slow to begin.
