For some distance passing the 1100m was bumped by AUSSIES LOVE SPORT on a number of occasions. M. Cahill, rider of AUSSIES LOVE SPORT, was advised not to put unnecessary pressure on runners when attempting to shift closer to the rail. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding, which performed disappointingly, revealed it to be short striding in front.
