T. Harrison explained that the mare had a nice run in a handy position on the rail, had travelled well to the turn and on straightening she was confident that the horse would finish its race off. She said when afforded clear running at the top of the straight and placed under pressure, the mare did not quicken and gave ground. She added that she was of the opinion that as the mare has only ever raced on firm tracks, it may not have handled today’s soft track conditions.
