Jockey J. Mallyon explained that the horse, which was having its second start today, was drawn awkwardly and due to a number of runners drawn inside having early speed, he made the decision to restrain in the early stages and race in a rearward position. He said after doing so the tempo in the middle stages was then moderate, and as his mount raced wide. When the leader quickened the horse was unable to muster speed and only finished one paced. He was of the view the filly would be better suited with more racing and settling in a more forward position and over much longer distances than that
