After dislodging the rider en route to the barriers, the filly jumped the false rail near the 1350m chute, was quickly recaptured, inspected by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to race. Co-trainer P. Hulbert was questioned regarding the horse’s improved performance. He stated that at its previous start the filly did not run on after travelling well and he was of the opinion that it may not have appreciated the track conditions on that occasion. He added that the filly is better suited on rain-affected tracks.
