Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover. Apprentice E. Ljung was questioned regarding her tactics in the early stages. She stated that she had been instructed to have the mare positioned behind the leaders and after beginning awkwardly she rode CHASE THE WIND hard to comply with instructions, however, approaching the 1000m she felt she may have been able to take a trail behind CRIQUETTE but was prevented from doing so by VIADUCTRESS improving to her inside and therefore she raced three wide without cover. She added that she tried to have the mare relax when racing in that position.
