Rider questioned re performance - stated obliged to work hard to maintain lead in early stages and approaching home turn mount was under pressure and not improving to her urgings and she had specific instructions to remain to the inside in the home straight as the gelding has hung in under pressure in previous starts. Trainer R. Hurley agreed horse had to work hard to maintain the lead in early stages and confirmed instructed rider to remain to the inside in the home straight.
