Rider questioned re performance - noted gelding slow to begin and inclined to race keenly during middle stages and in her opinion failed to finish race off as expected. Trainer stated bearing in mind the last 600m sectionals was not disappointed in performance as it continued to make ground on placegetters over concluding stages. Vetted - no abnormalities.

Added able to obtain handy position with cover but gelding failed to travel comfortably throughout and disappointed in ability to finish race off as expected. Trainer indicated gelding led and won previous start in a slowly run race and was of opinion given increased tempo today may have been better suited ridden further back. Undertook to report any abnormalities.
