Jockey A Fancourt reported that the gelding travelled comfortably during the event however failed to quicken from the 500m when placed under pressure and in her opinion proved disappointing. Jockey Fancourt added that she suggested to connections that the gelding may benefit from the additition of blinkers. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
