When asked to comment on the performance of the gelding, jockey R Fradd advised that after racing in a forward position, the gelding had a tendency to hang in under pressure in the home straight and also raced greenly, however beyond this he was unable to explain the performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
