English, rider of MACHU PICCHU, was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

After passing the 400m had an inclination to hang in when beginning to weaken, and in the home straight proved disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer D. Vandyke advised that in light of today’s performance he would recommend to connections that the gelding now leave his stable.
