Stewards interviewed jockey J. Lloyd regarding the performance and he indicated that the horse was under heavy pressure from the 900m and was unable to hold a position on the horse throughout the race, and that it commenced to weaken badly from the 500m. Trainer T. Edmonds could offer no explanation for the performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Mr Edmonds was advised that the horse must trial to the stewards’ satisfaction prior to its next race start.
