When asked to comment on the performance, jockey J. Lloyd indicated that the horse travelled well outside the leader throughout the event, however failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure and weakened in the home straight. Trainer P.H. Duncan stated that in light of today’s performance the stable would give consideration to sending the horse for a spell.
