On return to scale jockey M. Hellyer weighed in at 59.5 kilograms, which is half a kilogram below his allotted weight of 60 kilograms with the 1 kilogram vest allowance. Stewards acting under AR143(a) allowed jockey Hellyer the half kilogram allowance for the weight of his bridle and therefore declared correct weight. Stewards were satisfied that jockey Hellyer had not been in breach of any rules and no action was taken.

Stewards questioned T. Harrison regarding her tactics adopted and the overall performance of the filly. Of concern to stewards was that the horse had won its last start whilst leading and it appeared jockey Harrison restrained her mount where opportunity appeared to be available for it to lead in the early stages. She advised that she had been instructed to ride in a forward position and rode the horse in a similar fashion to the way the horse was ridden at Ipswich on 31 May.
