M. Morris was questioned regarding the tactics he adopted on entering the straight whereby he shifted his mount out, allowing runners to improve to his inside. Jockey Morris explained that after observing the first race he noticed that the winner raced three wide in a 9 metre position, therefore on entering the straight he elected to shift out into that position, which in his opinion has been beneficial to other runners in the past.
