Slow to begin. Had to be checked when the pace slackened after passing the 1000m and then commenced to overrace and hang out until approaching the 700m. L. Tarrant, the rider of STYLISH LOVER, was advised to exercise more care and be mindful of other runners when steadying the pace.

Steward Comment

Obliged to steady from heels after passing the 1000m when the pace slackened. R. Stewart reported that the horse was exhibiting an abnormal respiratory noise. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings, however, connections were advised that following the horse’s poor performance again today, it must trial satisfactorily and the results of an endoscopic examination must be produced prior to the horse’s next start.
