After being caught wide in the early stages was allowed to stride forward to obtain a position outside the leader near the 950m.

Commenced to overrace immediately after jumping, proving difficult to ride for a considerable distance. Bumped with another runner on two occasions near the 1100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the horse had an abnormal action in the off hind leg, however was not lame. Given the significance of the abnormality with the horse’s action, trainer J. Fitzgerald was advised that he will be required to provide a veterinary clearance for the horse prior to it being permitted to race again.
