Steward Comment

Laid in under pressure in the home straight. When questioned regarding the below market expectation performance App. N Fazakerley advised that after beginning well the gelding was able to obtain its customary forward position however during the event the gelding was unable to settle as a result of AFTER THE STORM racing keenly to its outside. App N Fazakerley was of the opinion this factor, combined with the large weight impost the gelding was required to carry were the major contributing factors to the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
