Raced keenly near the 800m. Performed below market expectations. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Rider expressed disappointment with the performance, stating that the gelding came under pressure under 600m, however responded well when entering the home straight, however proved very reluctant to improve to the inside of runners thereafter. Trainer advised the gelding had pulled up well following the event, however connections would now give consideration would be given to its immediate racing future.
