Lloyd reported that after receiving a bump rounding the home from another runner the horse became awkward in its action and weakened in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer B. Herne indicated he would have the horse trotted up and assessed by his own veterinary surgeon in the coming days and would advise stewards of the outcome.
