The annual Tara Races are back in 2026, with a great day of country racing and entertainment for the whole family.

Gates open at 11.30 am, with a five race program featuring the Tara Cup and plenty happening on and off the track throughout the day. Racegoers can enjoy children’s entertainment including inflatables and face painting, onsite bookmakers, a fully stocked bar and plenty of food available for purchase.

Following the final race, Fashions on the Field will take centre stage, followed by the Novelty Foot Race, back by popular demand.

There’ll also be a Calcutta, with live music from Elle Cosgrove starting at 4.30pm and the bar open until 9.00pm.  A courtesy bus will also be available to help racegoers get to and from the track.
