Queensland Off-The-Track proudly introduces Ines Libessart as a QOTT Acknowledged Retrainer.

Based in Tamborine, in the picturesque Scenic Rim, Ines is a highly experienced horsewoman who has spent a lifetime in the saddle. With a competitive background spanning dressage, eventing, and showjumping to 1.40m, she brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience across a range of equestrian disciplines. As an Equestrian Australia Level 2 Coach, Ines is passionate about developing confident horses and riders through correct, progressive education.

Ines is committed to the welfare and successful transition of each horse from racing into a suitable second career or pleasure home.

Her retraining approach is tailored to the individual horse, recognising that every horse transitions at its own pace. The initial stages focus on allowing the horse to decompress while establishing relaxation, good manners, and strong foundational education away from the racing environment. Ines prioritises patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement to build trust, confidence, and adaptability throughout the retraining process.

When it comes to rehoming, Ines takes great care to match each horse with a suitable home based on its temperament, ability, and future potential. She believes in being transparent about each horse's education, temperament, and any ongoing management requirements, helping to set both horse and new owner up for success. Recognising that the journey doesn't end once a horse leaves the property, Ines is committed to providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure a successful transition.
