RACE TWO

SEELSTERS SONG (4) pressed ahead from gate 5 over the 1780m last start to find the front and then running even sections was grabbed in the last strides up the passing lane. A winner 2 starts back at her first outing here in Qld, she can look for the lamp lighting duties here and be trying to take them all the way.

RITCHIE BEE (7) was pulled up with a gear issue last time out at Redcliffe after going one lap. Runner-up at his previous 2 starts, including a 5m margin here over the mile when finding the front and trying to take them all the way. The wide gate stings but in this field, he can be making a play.

TURN TURN FLYER (3) settled in the running line last start when sent out as the fav but could only manage to get within 6m of the winner. Settling handy he can fill the minors here.

ALLY PINK (8) will have the options as the lone 2nd line runner here as to where she positions. Placed in 3 of her past 4 starts, the latest effort was sound, and she is podium chance in this.

SELECTIONS: SEELSTERS SONG (4), RITCHIE BEE (7), TURN TURN FLYER (3), ALLY PINK (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SEELSTERS SONG (4) to win

RACE THREE

MAJORDOIT (5)
faces a big class drop finding his way into this contest. Grabbing the bronze last time out when WATHC PULP FICTION blew the race open at the 500m, he was not that far from the winner SMOKIN BY 3 starts back after finding the pegs. He may need to work early but this is well within reach.

LITTLE CHANGE (1) started from this gate over the mile last start against a much tougher field and was soon shuffled 3 back against the poles. Not too far away from the winner BLACK HAWK JOE, it followed a smart effort when working home wide off the track at The Triangle from gate 5. He can throw it down here.

GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (6) was shooting for a hat-trick of Redcliffe victories last time out when sent to the post as favourite from the 2nd line. Making some late ground he could not make up the deficit when 6m in arrears. The wide gate stings here.

COLONEL JOY (4) started from the 2nd line at Redcliffe 2 starts back when wide off the track making a late play to be just 3m from the winner OHOKA JIMMY. Against this field he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MAJORDOIT (5), LITTLE CHANGE (1), GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (6), COLONEL JOY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJORDOIT (5) to win

RACE FOUR

COBBITY CASTLE (5)
will take her first look at Albion Park and comes to town with a superb streak at Redcliffe since arriving in Qld. Hitting the board in all 9 starts on The Triangle that includes a hat-trick of wins, the latest when too strong for her opponents, sitting parked and pulling clear for a stylish win. This is no harder and she can arrive again.

SHEZ GOT BLING (9) showed early hustle last start to be first to the pegs before taking a seat but could not go on with it in the closing stages. Hitting the line strongly here 2 starts back over the mile when retreating from gate 6, she is best when saved for one sprint and from this gate can be challenging.

BARBOO (8) was sent forward from the 2nd line over the sprint trip 2 starts back and obliged to do some work was in for the fight when 3m from the winner. Claiming victory 3 back, he will be probing here.

GRETELS GIRL (6) faces a tricky gate here but will also be further tightened from her latest start when 2nd up from a spell. Asked to work when parked in that race, she has podium claims in this.

SELECTIONS: COBBITY CASTLE (5), SHEZ GOT BLING (9), BARBOO (8), GRETELS GIRL (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

PATCHWORK JET (1) comes up with all the options from this gate as he looks for a breakthrough victory here at The Creek. Not much went right last start when retreating from a wide gate and then unable to get into the contest. Nabbed in the last stride 2 starts back when leading them up, he gets his chance in this.

CHUMP CHOP (2) was sent out as fav last time out at Redcliffe from inside the 2nd line, was soon shuffled 3 back and then at the bell found himself behind the leader. That was no help with 400m to go when the leader hoisted the white flag and cost him all his momentum. From the front line he can look to make his own luck and make it a memorable start 100.

JOEY LINCOLN (9) was banished to the trials last start when not beaten that far behind ROWDYS ACE. Earning the return, he can press through early here and in an open contest can make a play.

WAVEDANCER (3) started from the 2nd line last start at Redcliffe over the 1780m trip when trying to make late ground behind VERMONT. Buried in the run 2 starts back, he can settle handy to feature in this.

SELECTIONS: PATCHWORK JET (1), CHUMP CHOP (2), JOEY LINCOLN (9), WAVEDANCER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: PATCHWORK JET (1) to win

RACE SIX

THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER (5)
comes to town for his first look at the big oval after dominating this grade at The Triangle in recent months where he has been able to land 10 wins since May. Sent to the front last start from gate 3, he was never in danger in claiming a smart 5m victory. This is another step up but a record of 10 wins in his past 17 starts is hard to ignore.

BONDI SHAKE (9) is in consistent form with a top-3 at his 6 of his past 7 that also includes a hat-trick of victories. Sent forward to sit parked 2 starts back at Redcliffe, he was in for the fight when only 1.5m away which followed a smart effort behind the in-form MISS VICTORIA. Luckless last start when caught in traffic, he can challenge.

COLOMBIAN GOLD (1) was not suited from the 2nd line last start and was settled at the rear when trying to make ground behind THEMIDNIGHTGAMBLER. Fading after setting the speed in a tougher contest 2 starts back, this looks more suitable.

HANDSOME HARRY (8) wilted last start after easing from gate 5 to find the pegs as LADY AVANA powered home. Not far away the start prior after working hard in the run, he will get an easy trip here.

SELECTIONS: THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER (5), BONDI SHAKE (9), COLOMBIAN GOLD (1), HANDSOME HARRY (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

KATACHA MAN (9)
has placed in 2 of his 7 outings here at The Creek and comes here with placing at his past 3 starts at The Triangle. Asked to grind it out over the 2040m 2 starts back and only beaten a neck, he made a closing play the start prior when within 1.5m. This is the type of race he can capitalise in.

MONTANA FLASH (6) has been in great touch and 2 starts back tackled a strong 3YO event claimed by CAPTAIN CRUSADER. Making some nice ground in the closing stages of that contest, it had followed a 2m 3rd her over the mile. Too sharp in front at Redcliffe on Thursday, he looms large but has a query at the 2138m from the wide gate.

BE GOOD BENNY (12) sat back in the pack from the 2nd line at Redcliffe last start before hitting the line in nice order over the closing stages to grab the bronze. Charging home for the bronze 2 starts back, he can feature again here.

CROWN MOJO (4) eased from gate 5 over the mile last start when trying to warm up in the closing stages as DEVOUGED took the prize. Midfield from the pegs here 2 back, he is a podium hope here.

SELECTIONS:
KATACHA MAN (9), MONTANA FLASH (6), BE GOOD BENNY (12), CROWN MOJO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: KATACHA MAN (9) to win
